I would think that selecting a college based on how easy it is really isn't the best way to look at furthering your education. _________________ Clint Bonnett

Any SUNY schools is probably a good value. New Paltz is known for their artistic end of things as far as I know.
Depends on what your focus is going to be. _________________ Nicholas Rauch

Binghamton is a good school. If you can get in there and you are going for any sort of technical career, go for it.
Money doesn't grow on trees, so get the best education for the least amount of money.
College is a test to see if you can balance the social life (racing BMX) and hard work. If you can do all of that, then afterward, life seems pretty relaxed.
And the bottom line is, either degree may get you hired, but the school where you learn what you need to know to keep the job is the school to go to. _________________ Nicholas Rauch

Binghamton and Genesso are the 2 hardest state schools to get into and also rated in the top ten in the USA in a recent Kippilinger poll for a quality education with a decent price tag. Don,t expect to get in unless your SAT's are in the 1700 and above range. State schools price tag are around 15,000 $ My son goes to Oneonta so I know. My daughter goes to a private college and price tag is $37,000. For someone not sure what they want to do community colleges offer a good choice.$2,500 to $5,500 Hudson valley and Mohawk valley are good choice with a variety of courses and most state schools will accept their credits. Where ever you go balancing free time with work will be your priority, no one will be there to make sure you go to class and do your work. Work hard and have fun, the real world . Oh and I forgot, had friends that went to Suny New Paltx, main majors, arts, thearte, teaching and enviromental programs. Good luck. _________________ If you really serious and want to succeed at something in life, stop doing what hasn't been working!!!!!!!!

That's for sure. Remember Woodstock wasn't too far away!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have you decided on a college yet Brendan? Decision time is only a few months away. Acceptance letters start rolling in Feb, and March, only problem is financial aid letters come a month or two later so usually your final decision will have to wait till then. Are you thinking about following your sister's path to Marist? My daughter Rachel goes there( 2nd year) loves it, Ryan ended up going in State to Oneonta and really likes it so far and is doing well, made dean's list 1st semester. Good luck wherever you go I'm sure you'll do good. Ed Maleady _________________ If you really serious and want to succeed at something in life, stop doing what hasn't been working!!!!!!!!

I applied to James Madison University, Maryland, and Delaware, Binghamton, and Oneonta.
I got my acceptance letter to JMU yesterday and I'm 95% that's where I'm going. I'm excited. I didn't really want to do the whole in-state thing. Hopefully Virginia will be a little warmer than here. _________________ Brendan Costello |

No that was Maria college in Albany. Its co-ed now but about 80 percent female. Probably not a bad place to go if your male and single! _________________ If you really serious and want to succeed at something in life, stop doing what hasn't been working!!!!!!!!

Oh,
For some reason I was thinking Marist was.
Eh, what are you going to do.
Go for the place in the warmer climate. _________________ Nicholas Rauch

It will be warmer for sure, But alot more expensive when you come home for thanksgiving, x-mas, winter and spring break. looking out the window right now and seeing below zero weather, Virginia sound real good! _________________ If you really serious and want to succeed at something in life, stop doing what hasn't been working!!!!!!!!
