alright so deciding to go 20 also to get some extra track time and ride with some people more my skill level instead of expert level riders... challange is nice and hoping to be competitive with the extra track time i gain.... but which frame should i get.... build a matching staats or buy that elusive redman that i ordered for cruiser an never showed up lol... what ya think? redman is a bit larger so am questioning size of staats being big enough. vote away _________________ hit up HUBIES restaurant/pizzaria or their catering or wood stove shop |

I would find something with a bigger top tube. I ride a 21.5 at 5' 11." _________________ Nicholas Rauch

staats is 21.75 and redman is 22... however big part is redman has a steeper seat tube wich make the overall rider area longer yet.. crupits have longgg top tube 22.5 by seat tubes about laying down and actual rider area is less than that of redman and close to the staats _________________ hit up HUBIES restaurant/pizzaria or their catering or wood stove shop |

Get whichever one has the biggest overall rider area. Measure from the top of the head tube to the cranks. _________________ Nicholas Rauch

uh head tubes are same angle 74.... but seat tube on staats is 72 an redman is 73 i belive... and the tt on redman is 22 and staats is 21.75... so redman would be a half inch larger in rider area is my assumption.... talked to mike a cpl times today and i hes not sure which colors are in or what rider area was.. he was gonna get back to me however... still waiting lol _________________ hit up HUBIES restaurant/pizzaria or their catering or wood stove shop |

Yeah, I would just ask for that measurement. You're probably as big as a BMXer comes, so get the biggest frame available.
Just ask for them to do that measurement, because that is the bottom line. The greater the distance between the bottom bracket (your feet) and the top of the head tube (your hands).
Just my thoughts.

I don't think you'll find anything with the same rider area as the cruiser. I believe the bottom bracket is about the same between the two, but with a much higher head tube.
Just get the one with the biggest rider area, the some stem and bar work will do the trick.

Im 6'2" and i tried riding a 22. way to big for me. I feel alot more comfortable riding a 21.5 or even a 21. Then again i ride alot more park and street on a 20.8 frame. _________________ Justin Wade |

If you a ride more park and street you'll definitely have a preference for a shorter frame. I ride a 21.2 on the ramps at the skatepark, but the 21.25 frame I rode last season never felt right. I just like to have my space I guess. I think to be on the safe side for Dmac, go bigger. _________________ Nicholas Rauch
