So for a long story short. Ive had this frame for around 3 years now. I had it for about a season before i crashed and broke my seat post inside my frame and cracked the frame around the seat tube. I recently got some money to get the frame fixed and have a custom integrated seat clamp welded in. The pics were taken in my bike repair shop/ training center with my laptop, tv, and bike trainer haha.

Front Wheel - Profile laced with ti spokes to rhynolite
Cranks - Profile 180mm with Ti spindle
Pedals - Time Zs
Sprocket - Profile Imperial 44t
Chain - kmc somethin
Brakes - TRP With Ti bolts
Brake lever - Shimano Dxr
Cables - Shimano Dxr
Tyres - Holly rollers 1.75 in rear and 1.95 in front
Mods - Custom Integrated seat clamp and cut off seat post tubing.
And I know my bike is Dirty haha I needs a good washing. Im also looking for a place to get the frame powder coated Fire engine red.

I know there is a place in Binghamton area. I had my Harley built down there and they had the powdercoat done in town... call Jes at Rollin Bones Motor Co. and ask her or her dad.
There is also a guy in the Ithaca area, I can get you his contact info if you want. _________________ www.baxterbmx.com |

Am I the only one who thinks the seat tube doesn't look safe?
Are you planning on racing it like that Justin? _________________ Bye for now,

wasnt sure what to make of that to be honest... idk how stiff the stays will be... or the bottom bracket... and ontop of it its cromolly so it wont be as stiff anyway... idk about safe but my guess is it will ride like noodle _________________ hit up HUBIES restaurant/pizzaria or their catering or wood stove shop |

Those were my same thoughts.
Might have been cheaper (and safer) just to get another frame. _________________ Bye for now,

Its almost the same concept at the eastern freestyle frames. except this is alot more stable. It rides fine and the guy who did it, makes his own frame and skateboards. hes a self taught welder who makes some of the strongest and craziest lookin stuff out there. _________________ Justin Wade |

I think it will be fine.
That area doesn't provide as much rigidity/strength as you would think.
Remember the old Specialized FatBoys? Didn't have anything in that area.
And, as he said, the Easterns- high end, run a similar setup.
As for the self taught welder bit, eh.....be careful on the heat treating aspect. _________________ Nicholas Rauch

yea what looks cool is the clamp down low and the smooth look without the seat post nub ontop of frame... was thinking stiffness because its cut where the seat stays attach and it would allow them to twist a bit _________________ hit up HUBIES restaurant/pizzaria or their catering or wood stove shop |

My questions are:
Did you call Standard about a new frame before having that done?
and
Why not just buy a new frame for all the trouble. _________________ Nicholas Rauch

I called standard and they said if i sent it in they would take a look at it and determine whether it was covered or not. and i only paid $75 for this to be done because im a good friend of the guy who did it and i really dont like the new standard frames. _________________ Justin Wade |

But it's not an Eastern!
The tube definitely looks bent or mis-shapen.
I do believe that tube serves more purpose than what you all think.
That will definitely be the first Standardized Eastern out there. _________________ Bye for now,

Its not bent. its just where theres a gap, the tubing come out a bit. in the pic it looks really distorted but its fine. and theres some other company's that do the same thing. and these are on street frame, not race frames. _________________ Justin Wade |
