Ok so after riding brakeless for a couple months i wanna give a gyro a try. Ive been reading around online forums and ive found that alot of people perfer the snafu mobeus. Thats just the detangular. Now my question is, What else do i ned to buy?
What i do have is the tabs for my frame, odyssey revolver brakes with the london mod, odyssey m2 medium lever. I have the fit s3 stem and I read on dans and albes if you have the fit s3 stem they sell a upper gyro part. So would i need to get this also? Any info is really appreciated i wanna order these parts soon. _________________ Justin Wade |

For the gyro setup, you gennerally need an upper cable assembly - to run from the brake to the upper gyro plate, the upper gyro plate, the gyro or detangler, the lower plate (mounts on the frame I believe with your bike) and a lower cable assembly which will probably be a setup that makes it go two-to-one.
My suggestion is to get a linear cable and run it long. Gyros suck. _________________ Nicholas Rauch

Ah, ok.
I was wondering how that setup was going to play out.
I still say just ditch the gyro, but it's your call. _________________ Nicholas Rauch

I rode straight cable for probably 4 months. I kept having so many problems with cables and my brakes i gave up and i wanted to try and learn bars. Now ive been goin up to eastshore alot more. I kinda wanna have breaks again. I was talkin to one of our local pros, he said to get a gyro he said its a good investment and can be way more powerful and better stopping when adjusted right. _________________ Justin Wade |

It'll never be better power than a straight cable. _________________ Nicholas Rauch

You will have 1 cable from the lever to the detangler. Then 2 to the upper gyro plate. Then 2 from the lower assembly to the brakes.
They will never perform better than a straight cable, but can work just as well if you buy the best one and have it adjusted properly.
Welcome back to the world of under control. _________________ Bye for now,
