Just to keep everyone updated. I re-sent the email on the previous page to Rose again yesterday. It was also cc'd to the entire NBL board of directors, the NYS board of directors and the NYS track directors. No reply from Rose (don't expect one) but did receive this reply from Ken Masters

Clint,

Just an FYI,  One of your concerns about the NY-NBL's  State Series qualification procedure (5 Qualifiers plus) and the qualification procedure for the Pro -Am event (3 Qualifiers) may be easily resolved, the NBL requires that a rider must participate and register in a points class to also participate in an "Open" class. Technically an "Elite/Amatuer" class open is classified as an Elite class and can be run whenever there are three or less "elites" .   The NY-NBL can adopt or enforce runs for their series, above and beyond the base rules established by the NBL for the purpose of their own state series. The "Pro/Am" events are not "point Classes" therefor riders participating in that class are not qualified to participate in the state championship or the presidents cup unless they meet the requirements established by the NY-NBL (5 Qualifiers).
The dirt jumping competition is a totally different story, any competition other than racing requires additional insurance waivers and fees. this is absolutely required for a jumping contest. The insurance cost for this is determined on a case by case basis. Even if the "Promoters" of the jumpiing contest provided their own insurance, they would have to list the track, the local BMX organization, and the NBL as co-insured.

Hopefully this helps, and Rose contacts you shortly

Ken

Stuff like this means a lot to me. With all the upheaval recently at the NBL, Ken still took the time to reply. He didn't have to. He could very well have said that it's a state issue and left it at that.

Ken is the new guy on the block trying to do what's right.

He doesn't want to bring anymore negativity to the NBL or himself, so he did what was right, and communicate with the concerned customer.

George at Rennen Design Group is going to send me some chainrings for the Bombshell cranks that Avent sent me.
He's also putting up a $100 holeshot award for the main at the championship. This is in addition to any money that the statemay put in or donations that I may be able to pick up.

Also did a little work on the sponsor page on the website. Look it over and let me know what you think.
