Guidelines for Membership
1. Membership in ACTS is a privilege not a right. Any group member found to be disruptive to the health, well-being, and positive direction of the group, group leaders, or other group members may have their membership removed and all the privileges which go with it.
2. ACTS leaders maintain a group directory which contains our members' personal contact information, because we are a private group this information is not to be given out outside of the ACTS membership body.
3. As a “no dues” group, we rely on member contributions and support through the sharing of the following responsibilities: event hosting, event coordinating, provision donations, and love offerings which support our group.
Guidelines for Behavior
Expected Conduct Within ACTS Forum :
1. Respect one another. Treat one another in the same manner as you would in a person to person interaction.
2. Respect our differences, enjoy our similarities. Differences in our approach can challenge us to learn something new, while the similarities can build lasting relationships.
3. Group moderators retain the right to moderate or remove any member at any time and for any reason. Flaming is not acceptable behavior. Flaming is defined as “the hostile and insulting interaction between Internet users…” For further defining of this term, please see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flame_war
Expected Conduct at Events and on Field Trips:
1. Attire should be in good taste and appropriate for the occasion.
2. Rowdy, rude or aggressive behavior (e.g., pushing, hitting, taunting, etc.) is not acceptable.
3. Parents are responsible for any damages incurred by their family, including reimbursement costs, if necessary.
4. Clean up after yourself and your children. As a group, we will clean up behind our gathering before leaving any location. Our goal is to leave our hosts feeling like it was a pleasure to meet with us.
5. Parents are not to leave their children unsupervised at an event. If you cannot personally bring your child but wish for them to attend an event please make arrangements for another parent to be responsible for your child during that event.
Events Planning
This group's events are planned by it's members. So, all members are invited and encouraged to bring their ideas to the table in the way of events. We do ask for input on dates, where possible, as an avenue of best serving the calendar needs and not overbooking more then one date at any given time. This approach serves our membership body in keeping as many events available as possible for attendance and not over committing ourselves to being in two places at one time. Remember, we are serving to uplift our members and to offer a means of support and fellowship, not to add undue stress where stress can be avoided through a cooperative nature when scheduling events. Christine Westfall is the ACTS contact person for scheduling events.
Please note: not all group events will be suitable for all family styles. Participation in every group event is not a requirement for maintaining your ACTS membership. If a group event does not fit your family style, please feel free to refrain from participating and come to those events which are a better fit.
By maintaining membership in ACTS you are agreeing with the guidelines for membership and behavior.
Thank You for your interest in ACTS! |
