Yes, it showed up immediately.
Yes, the true money raised needs to be updated for our group. I am hoping that will happen in the near future. I know we've all been so busy preparing for this that's probably why it hasn't been updated to reflect the amount yet. |

Angie took these pictures of Danny doing the Cha Cha Slide with us at Relay. These are such great pictures of him!!!
Come to find out, Danny's mother passed away while he was still young. She died from Breast Cancer. I intend for him to be able to participate with us in Relay whenever he can, since as you can tell, this event meant a lot to him. I believe that because of the smile on his face and the light in his eyes. He may not be able to understand the reason for this event but he can sure tell a good time with great folks when he sees it!
I am also giving him my Relay T-Shirt and my Relay blanket so he can remember this night when he sees them.
Isn't he such a sweety?

Henderson County Relay for Life 2009
Event raised $55,000.00 for the American Cancer Society.
Our ACTS Team raised $574.35.
Mark your calendars! Relay for Life 2010 is scheduled for April 30, 2010.
Tentative plans include hosting the Relay Event at the Henderson County Fair Grounds in 2010! |

We will be doing this again this year for our group's big community service event. I know April 2010 is a long way off but I also know the fight against Cancer is something personal and near and dear to all of our hearts. Please be gearing up for it, we'll need fund raising ideas, walkers for the night of the relay, sponsors for our walkers, to be backed in prayer and to be honest flat our cash contributions. |

Curves is offering a special that if you donate to a cancer organization they are waiving the registration fees. (contact Missy T. for the exact details)
With this development, Andora has already registered our team named "Friends and Family". You can join the team via the RFL website. |
