"Slings and Arrows" is a Canadian import that airs on Sundance Channel down here. We don't subscribe to Sundance, so I watched it on DVD. Having dated a "theatre type" at university, I think the series is a hilarious send-up. Worth a watch, definitely.

Bizarre behavior at a thinly-disguised take-off on the Stratford in Stratford, Ontario. It may be one of those acquired taste sort of things.

My sister is goofy for theatre and stuff, and several years ago she dragged me to Stratford to see a play. I was determined to hate it, but I enjoyed it despite myself. But I didn't tell her that, of course.
I lived 30 miles from Stratford for years and never once went to a play. Had to move to Edmonton and fly back to Toronto to go there. Go figger. |
