Granted, I am not deeply versed in Canadian film, but "Airborne", filmed in Toronto and directed by Julian Grant, featuring Steve Guttenberg (God is he awful and yes I know he's a Yank  Embarassed ), Colm Feore, and Sean Bean is quite possibly the worst waste of a DVD on record.

Certainly a waste of Mr. Bean's considerable visual presence.... Wink

Any other nominations out there?

The Québécois film genre is pretty bad, and most Quebecers don't want to admit it, but hell, it's painfull. I think there are three Québécois films to ever be good:

1) Jésus de Montréal
2) Les Invasions Barbares
3) Elvis Gratton

The third movie was made my a radical pro-terrorist separatist named Jean-Pierre Falardeau. The movie's comedy overrode any political statements. Mid, if you haven't seen Les Invasions Barbares, I highly recommend doing so.

Anyway, the reason Québécois film trumps all is because there is a limited number actors all who get recycled film after film after film... set and shot in the same place, usually downtown Montréal and Mont Tremblant. The characters are pretty much the same... And in every movie, the children of the main characters moves to London, UK. It's why we watch American films.

The mere title of "Invasions Barbares" is worth the price of rental, maybe even purchase--I'm on it!
