I found this website that has 100,000 Avatars to use on forums.
Go to: http://www.100000freeicons.com/index.html
Once you find the picture you like:
1. Right-clicking it, and selecting "Properties" from the menu that pops up. Copy the URL address (should be a gif).
2. Go to your profile on the forum.
3. Go all the way down on this page to Avatar control panel
4. Put the picture at Upload Avatar from a URL:

5. Click on Submit
