· Quote

In a business, just like in our daily lives, we encounter certain surprise circumstances which at times we don’t have any clue what the right thing to do. So here is a list of what might possibly occur in your cleaning business and how you can deal with it.

What if you discover an amount of money? If the amount is in cents then you can just put the money aside the table or desk. But if it involves dollars say $5 and up, then you can put it in an envelope and right in the envelope where you exactly found it. Then give the envelope to the receptionist counter.

What if you accidentally broke something? Then clean up the mess and wrote a note saying “I unintentionally broke the _______ while dusting. Kindly call _____ Company at this number so we can substitute it”. Then you inform your administrator about what happened. The honest you are the more that they will appreciate it.

What if you are locked inside? Immediately call someone who has the key. Then always remind yourself and remember that you should always keep your keys at all times.

What if someone left something private? If you keep it in another place make sure that you leave a note saying “I found your keys lying in the table counter while cleaning and protected it in the Janitor Closet”. If you don’t have any other places to secure it then put it in a sack and lock it in the Janitor Closet. Immediately call your manager and inform him of what happened so that the customer will know that the company has it. Remember that you should never take it out of the building much more to your home.

What if you are tempted to get something out of the trash? You have to resist temptation. Remember that your job is clean and put things to trash and not use them for your personal use. If someone finds out about what you did then they can be suspicious of you and much more it may cost your job.

What if you found out about a robbery inside the work? The best way to deal with it is by reporting it. You should not help the thieves by simply not saying anything.

What if you found out about drug or alcohol utilization? Then it is important that you also report any drug or alcohol use because they can affect the security of the place and the people in it. Besides, it is clearly prohibited.

What if you have an additional work that you know how to handle?  If you are certain that you will be able to handle it then you can inform your manager about it. If you have any suggestions tell it to your manager before making any actions.

What if you have extra time? Then you can do some feature cleaning. You can also clean the Janitor Closer or other things that might need some extra cleaning.
