Hey guys, this was one of the coins my grandfather left me. He told me his father brought it back from WWI. If you have any idea what it is please let me know. My best guess is that it is Greek, but I honestly don't know.

It resembles a coin from one of the Ptolemies of Egypt (rulers of the empire, then divided, that was created by the conquests of Alexander the Great). There were many rulers named Ptolemy in Egypt, I don't know enough to tell you which one issued this coin. However, the mint mark (symbol directly right of the eagle) indicate that it is from Alexandria. I cannot tell if the coin is real. |

I went browsing for your coin, I think the one shown below, a tetradrachm from Ptolemy X Alexander, Alexandria mint, is most probably the same as yours.
