We are in the last year of the State quarter's [yes I know about the territory's] and it seemes to me I'm still geting about as many pre-99 as I am state quarters. So I thought it might be interesting to keep track for one month and conpair. If any one else would like to take part feel free to do so.

I seem to see plenty of pre-1999 Washingtons too. But so far in May I have encountered 3 quarters, all state.
A New Jersey, a Connecticut, and a Virginia to be exact. _________________ -Adam |

May 3 3 Pre 1999
4 State
One of the pre99's was a Bicentennial. Boy over 30 years waiting to hit it big with that one. I would be willing to bet that I'm not the only old coin man with a bunch of these put back. What was it they said? These will be worth some big money some day. ya |

I also have rolls and rolls of those, back in '78 it seemed like such a great idea. I should just spend them. |

My quarter count so far in May:
5 state
3 pre-1999
I also have a bunch of the old "drummer boy" nickels. I got them while searching rolls for nice examples of state quarters for my sets. I put some in my nephews piggy bank, but I still have a pile of them. _________________ -Adam |

May-7
21 state Total
11 pre-1999
After one week it looks like I'm runing about 2 to 1 on state. I thought it would have been closer or even the other way around. Still going to keep up with them till end of month. |

I haven't made many purchases this month, so my total number of quarters is pretty low.
7 state
3 pre-1999 _________________ -Adam |
