Or if your like me, an American who collects American coins, what are your second favorites?
Its hard for me to choose a second favorite. I'd have to say ancient Greek and Romans. Then German, Australia, Italian, French, and Japanese. I change my mind alot though, on what exact order they're in. I also like Jamaica, Ireland, Spain, Egyptian, Indian, Thai, Chinese, and so on, and so on, yada yada yada.
As you can see, I have trouble deciding. How bout you?

I collect world coins by KM# and US and Canadian by year/mint mark.  I'm also collecting Aussie 20c, 50c and $1 coins by year/mint mark, and I have a good start to the British pre-decimal pennies, minus a couple of key dates.  I've just got lots of duplicates that I need to trade or sell.  I just haven't had the time to catalog them yet, so I don't know exactly what I do and don't have, although I've got a pretty good idea in my head.

Adam I have some Quarters from Missouri. What other money do they have in that country?
Toper did you say Trade? I like them words. Have we got a place where we can do that without getting sent to our rooms. I bet a lot of the members would like to do this. Maybe Coinlover could help us out. Don't wont to break any rules.

My focus on collecting is always shifting, often back to something I was concentrating on at some earlier time.  In terms of quantity I have more US coins than anything else.  But I spend much more time researching coins from other parts of the world.

I'd have to say Roman... at least right now. I get easily distracted. No telling what I'll be looking for in a years time.

Just trying to complete several different US sets. Need Key dates in the Walking Liberty Halfs & Peace Dollars. My Silver Eagle Proof set is missing the 95W. Ouch, that hurts to have to put out that much for a modern coin. Too many  US coins that I would like to own. {Like Bust Halfs} No desire to try to collect World Coins.  Very Happy  daffy

I know what you mean about those key dates. The pesky 1921's are the only tough ones left that I need for the walkers. Then its all common stuff.

Thats the bad thing about the Walkers. You can get the last half of the set in MS condition at resonable prices and then it goes to EF. Once you get into the 20's  you have to look at VG-G to finish that set out unless you are one with very deep pockets. LOL! Very Happy  daffy
