Here is a 1938 one shilling from New Guinea (British occupied) that I thought I would post.  The area is now the country of Papua New Guinea.  Its one of my favorite 'holed' coins, the design on both sides is excellent IMO.  The obverse has the crown, of course, and scepters, and the reverse has some indigenous art.

Thats a very nice coin from a short run of that type, with only 4 years of shillings from the territory of New Guinea.

Thanks, there are many countries that have issued holed coins.  Any world coin bargain bin is bound to have a selection if you are keen on some.

Brad, you can easily complete the whole set of New Guinean coins, except for the 1929 1/2d. & 1d.,as they are extremely rare.

I've got most of these coins in my collection as well.

Aidan.
