I went out detecting yesterday, Sunday.
I worked a large football field that I had barely scratched the surface of before, and removed tons of trash.

Dozens of coins, and then, expecting to hit another  aluminum piece of junk-- out came a man's 14 KT (Italy) bracelet.
It weighs in at 26.7 DWT (pennyweight) which is equal to 1.335 ounces og gold.
converting to pure (24 kt) gold that is .77875 ounce pure, which at $661 an ounce is $514.75 melt.

I love finding gold!

Nice find!  It's always that one thing you least expect to find, that makes it so enjoyable.  I need to make the time to go out detecting.  I bought the detector, but I just haven't been able to make the time, yet.

I've got an older, but barely used Bounty Hunter.  To be honest, I still haven't taken it out yet.  No time.  This has been a way too busy summer for me to start metal detecting.  Guess I'll probably be looking at next spring sometime.
