Steve,thanks for letting us know about the Coincraft 18th. Century traders' currency token catalogue.It's a pity that Coincraft hasn't done catalogues for the 17th. Century & 19th. Century traders' currency token issues,including the Professor Holloway 1/2d. & 1d. issues of 1857-58 (which even turn up over here from time to time).

Dont go in that much as it is quite a trek to get there and my health is not the best these days, I normaly try to do it at the same time as I visit the British Museum  Very Happy  Kill two birds with one stone LOL

Nope you wont find the tokens in there as they were not produced by the Goverment, unfortunatly you end up having to do a great deal of hunting for some of them  Sad

Ps it is though a very good & useful book on British coins & Chris is a great guy, check out his site when you get a chance.

Added to that it is the same with Thomas Krause & Peter Bauers catalouge ! they all say Silver first then Gold, is it possible that you could be wrong?
