Both issues of the Series I notes were issued at the same time. When my boss bought in his stock,I was the guy who told him how different the 2 issues are.
It took me 3 years to study the notes,as I was having trouble gathering information about the Chatham Islands' rare medal-coin issue,so I could compile the article as a full document.

Steve, the notes that have the '1st' in white superimposed on the interlocking '2000' pattern are the Collector's Issue. The notes that have a globe superimposed on the '1st' with the words 'WORLD FIRST' & 'AUTHENTIC' in an outer circle, which can be seen depending on the direction in which the note is tilted, are the Currency Issue.

Steve, the Bruneian currency is called the Dollar. It is only called Ringgit (or 'Ringgit Brunei' to distinguish it from the Malaysian Ringgit) in the local form of the Malayan language.
You will be pleased to know that I have ordered one of the Bruneian commemorative plastic $20 notes from a dealer in Melbourne,Australia.
I've asked him to keep an eye out for the new banknotes from both Ghana & Nigeria, especially the plastic 20 Naira.

Steve, the same dealer in Australia has also got me one of the plastic Singaporean plastic commemorative $20 notes for me as well.
A contact in Singapore is sending me a Singaporean plastic $2 note for free to add into my collection.
I saw a bundle of the Guatemalan plastic 1 Quetzal note dated 2006,which was printed in Canada. It is a pity that my boss didn't get a bundle of the Nigerian plastic 20 Naira note though.
