Steve, have you managed to get the 2002 Queen's Golden Jubilee commemorative 5 Quid note from Scotland, which has 2 portraits of Her Majesty herself on the back? A friend of mine was very lucky to have been over there at the time & got me the note.Apparently,it is now a very difficult note to find.

Steve,I am pleased that you managed to get an example of one the few Ulster banknotes that I do have in my collection.I have also got the 1976 issue of that Ulster 1 Quid note.
The Manx notes are a very interesting series to collect. The Isle of Man Government's pre-decimal notes are extremely difficult to find,as are the Manx trading bank notes.I was very lucky to pick up a Martins Bank 1 Quid dated 1938 a few years back.It cost me NZ$200.In those days,I was able to spend quite a packet on banknotes & coins.I can't do that today,as living costs are far higher now than ever, especially with regards to electricity prices being an absolute rip-off.
You will be pleased to know that I picked up a Fijian $1 note of the Central Monetary Authority of Fiji's 1980 issue (which also has a very scarce purple $10 (which I have got) in it).

Very good find Aidan you need to get a scanner so that you can get images up. I also have a Ulster Bank £5 in my collection |
Steve,I will be eventually getting both a scanner & a digital camera,as I do have an intention of posting photos.Things haven't been too good as far as my financial situation goes lately. I will have to import a coin collector's inventory software disk in from Canada.
You should check out the photos on http://www.freepowerboards.com/worldcoins .
I have got the set of the Provincial Bank of Ireland Specimen notes from Ulster. They are listed under 'Collector Series'.

The software I would like to get is called 'Currency Vault',which you can get through http://www.bc3software.com/currencyvault.asp .You can get it for C$75 plus postage.
You can store information about both banknotes & coins using the same software, plus you can add information about banknotes & coins that have just been issued or not yet listed.
Aidan.
