That is what this coin is supposed to be. I don't know much about ancients, but it doesn't look right to me. I did get it from a reputable dealer though. I'd like some other opinions.

I don't collect Roman coins, really, and couldn't tell you if it is real or not, but if you want to look at some others, here is a link:

The color looks a bit funny (probably due to the lighting), otherwise the design elements seem OK. I like the reverse scene, it has a lot going on. |

The edge looks alright. I guess the color was my main concern. In hand the color looks even more odd than in the scan. Its probably alright though. I'm going to take it to a big show next month and talk to some experts about it.

I hadn't thought of that, but its highly probable. I'll try to remember to keep yall posted after the show is St.Louis on Oct. 18-20.

what does the edge of the coin look like? can you see any cast or file marks.
