· Quote

Found a 1988 Lincoln Cent with a Flared G of the Designers initials. Went to Coneca site and they have this coin highlighted in red meaning that it is Ex. Rare.  Value and population chart show a total of only 2 coins in MS-70. No value or population numbers for any other grades. The coin I found is well circulated in EF condition. The RDV-005 die was used from 1986-1988. The RDV-006 was used from 1988-1992 and from 1998-2000. Do any of you Lincoln collectors know what the value of this coin might be? Not listed in the Red Book.  Thanks, Daffy Very Happy

Topher, yes that is correct. I looked at over 300 1988 Lincoln cents and only found one with the Flared G in the designers initials.  I understand they are rare. The coin dealers I know,  don't know squat about them. Oh! by the way, I found this cent in the same jar of cents I found that 1999 Wide AM. Keep searching. Best Daffy Very Happy

Wow, I've been looking for awhile to get a wide AM.  On the west coast the wide AM's are difficult as there are comparatively few P cents.  That RDV is cool, I had never heard of it.  Thanks for showing it.
