I found this the other day. As far as I know there have been less of 10 of these found. Here's some more info about them.
The only thing I haven't found out is it's value. Anybody know?

Hello brefos77, welcome to Coinlovers forum. I recently found one and sent photos of it to James Wiley at Coneca. See site below. E-mail james your photos, and he can tell you what you have. Mine was not the 006 variety, die abrasion made it appear as such. As for price, Who knows. I think only 3 has been certified. I seen one on e-Bay a few weeks ago that was raw and seller was wanting $2000.00. Of course it did not sell. I don't know about the value, again Mr. James Wiley may be the one who can answer that question. Best Daffy

Hello Brefos77, From what I can tell your coin might just be the real McCoy. I did a search and found one that sold last Month on eBay for $157.00. I would not sell that coin for that amount with only a very few known to exist. The coin that sold last month looked to be in Ms condition but was not certified as being an 006 RDV. I would suggest you go to the Coneca website and at the bottom you can contact James Wiley. I would send the photos and all available information to him. He will respond. Keep me updated on what the results are. I will post close up of mine. busy puttin up Christmas tree. Here is the link to that eBay auction I found.

Thanks Daffy. I wrote Dr. Wiles and he's interested in checking it out. I'm going to send it to him ASAP. What do you think about the extra little piece under the top curve? Another die? |

Dr. wiles can answer that for ya, I like to look for varieties but don't know alot about them when I do find them. That's when I ask the Pro's. Keep us updated on this rare find and hope all goes well. Best, Daffy |

Thanks for the pics.
Here's how I take mine:
My camera is a 6.0 megapixel. I set it all the way up to 6 mp, and turn the macro on. Then I use my homemade "tripod":
The pipe is held up by 2 nails that are nailed close together to the block of wood. This allows me to remove the pipe to screw in the camera. The coin lays on the wood. My biggest problem is the lighting; so far I have to shine a light on it myself, but I'm working on something to fix it.
Yeah, I know it's cheap, but it's mine! |

Man, that is one neat contraption you have made. Just think, I paid $90.00 for my Copy stand. Yours don't look like more than $2.00 in it. Congrats on your homemade copy stand. It works as well as mine. A big thumbs up for you. Best, Daffy _________________ A nickel ain't worth a dime anymore.

That is a cool tripod you've made. The picture you obtained from that is outstanding. |
