so far this year 2008 i have searched thru $1000 worth of half dollars and the total are .....3 bens.....5 64 kennedys and....14 40 % with another box of halfs due in next week.....ill keep you all posted.....

Where do you get all those halves?  I'm fortunate to get a few rolls here and there.

Then I would think any bank that orders them would be obliged to accept them.  I've turned in single half dollar rolls.  I just have never tried to order a whole box.

i am in san diego and jusk ask my bank to order a box for me .....i then take the to another bank that has a counting machine, run them thru get the money and go to my bank and get another box....

today i went to the "dump"bank with the coin counting maching and ran my $500 thru....only got $499.50 so reached into my pocket for the extra 50 cents.  while at the coin counting machine i found 35 cents on the floor, the bank also offered me a box of pop corn and a 9 oz bottal of water....and i have no account there......

hey allthis morn i hit a credit union and the only had $570 in rolled halfs. so i bought them all. well i found 2 64 kennedy and 5 40%, i will dump these tomorrow and pick up another $500 from my bank.....total now 3 bens....20 40%....9 90% kennedys.....this is going to pay off ....

hey all......got off work early and hit a few banks for rolled half.....only got $280.....found the following, 1 ben 62/////2 64 kennedys 3 67.....4 66....1 65.....i will dump these tomorrow as my bank will have $500 for me....

hey all .....today i picked up $500 in halfs from my bank, they have another box waiting for me on tuesdau....today finds were.....1 70d proff.....2 2004 proof.... 1 ben 54  ....1 64 90%.... 13 40 % and an odd 1995 olympic half from atlantic city......not a bad day...

picked up a bag of $1000 in halfs this weel from a credit union in my neighbor hood.....only got 32 64s ....61 40%.....197 bens and 51 walkers ....tomorrow i am cashing in $150 90 % silver at 9.2 or more face....ill let you all know...
