Interesting coin, I've never seen it before. Games were held August 4-13, 1966, apparently for the first time outside of a 'white' commonwealth nation. Looks to be in really good condition. |

Adam,the Jamaican 1966 British Commonwealth Games 5/- turns up quite a lot,even over here.Of course,I even have one in my collection as well.

I've been told that less than 200,000 were minted. Thats a pretty low number, at least compared to the mintages we're used to seeing here in the U.S.

Adam,that may be the case,but we see a lot of these turn up in old collections over here in New Zealand for some strange reason.
