My wife just told me that her Friend who works at our bank, told her I was buying the wrong coins to search. She said I should be buying the $50.00 bags that come out of the coin sorting machine. She told my wife that I would find the older ones in those $50.00 bags. Anyone here ever done this. I thought you could only buy coins in $25.00 boxes!! I told my wife to pick me up a bag next week. I will take photos before and after. we will see. Very Happy  daffy

I never heard of $50 bags befor. I have a frend who works in a bank and I will ask him. He knows nothen about coins but he should know about the bags. I don't se how a fellow can work in a bank for years and knows nothen about money. It talks all kinds.

Topher, your kidding us right? You folks have to roll your coins before you can return them to the Bank? Man, that would make me want to give them away or stop searching.  Shocked  daffy

Yep.  And they also charge us for the privilege of letting them hold our money as well.  Fortunately, I have an older account where I get free banking, but only if my account is over a certain balance.  Yet, every year, the big banks post record profits.  That's what happens when they are self-regulating.  Sad

I still search, but I empty them one roll at a time and just fill back in what I take out, then close the roll back up.  Definitely not as fast as dumping them into a bag and hauling them back.  Believe me, if I found a bank with a coin counter, I'd switch in a heartbeat!

Sorry David, I could not afford the Postal rates. Last time I returned over $200.00 in Pennies alone, seemed like they weighed a Ton. Very Happy  daffy
