E Pluribus Unum which is Latin and means "For out of many, one." is not the official National motto. E Pluribus Unum still appears on U.S. coins even though it is no longer the official national motto! That honor was given to In God We Trust in 1956 by an Act of Congress (36 U.S.C. § 302.)
Now for some fun, ask many of your friends what the E Pluribus Unum on a coin means and I bet not 10% know the correct answer. Last Saturday, I asked 11 of our friends this same question, and not one of them knew what it meant. Strange, but true. daffy _________________ A nickel ain't worth a dime anymore.

I actually knew what it meant, but then again, I'm not the average person when it comes to coins. LOL |

Wow. The part I didn't know was that "In God We Trust" was the OFFICIAL motto. _________________ -Adam |
