Alot of collectors, myself included, are tired of seeing the same old presidents on our coins that have been there for many decades. Alot of us agree that lady liberty should be brought back as well. SO...which president should go first? Lincoln, Jefferson, Roosevelt, Washington, or Kennedy. And why? _________________ -Adam |

And also, what should replace the president in your opinion? Lady Liberty like I mentioned, some other symbolic image, or different famous and historical people? _________________ -Adam |

If I had to pick one it would be Washington. They have allready perttyed him up till he would not know himself and I think he should go while the going is good. Lady Liberty is always good. I myself would like to see a bull dog on a coin. A hound dog would be nice also. But then the kitty cat people would fell left out. |

I agree on Washington, he himself would never have wanted his image bandied about like it has been. The end of the (endless) state quarter series would be a good opportunity to do a makeover. Lady liberty would be my choice for a replacement, but please not one in full battle dress. |

I could go for getting all the Dead Presidents off our coinage. Bring back the Flying Eagle Cent, The Buffalo Nickel, the Mercury Dime, The Standing Liberty Quarter, Walking Liberty Half and bring back the Morgan Dollar. Enough said. Daffy _________________ A nickel ain't worth a dime anymore.

I would love to see some Bust Halves also. Would that not spark some new interest? daffy _________________ A nickel ain't worth a dime anymore.

With the nickels already changed, I doubt anything will be done to them. The penny will have it's commemoratives next year, and the quarters will be finishing the State/Territory series in 2009 as well, so it would be nice to see something done to the dime. How about bringing back the Mercury dime (except it would be clad this time.) |

I don't think the nickel's change is enough. And I understand where you guys are coming from, talking about brnging back the old designs, but I think what we need is a completely fresh set of brand new designs. But primarily still featuring depictions of lady liberty. Just MHO. _________________ -Adam |

I would love to see a wild west series honoring famous Indian Chiefs and Lawmen just as they did on our Postage Stamps. daffy

Even one of those "Kentucky Moonshine stills" would be better than politicians. Huh David? _________________ A nickel ain't worth a dime anymore.

A still would look nice on a coin, a copper coin of course. But you just know the flat landers up in northern Ky. would never let such a thing happen. Wouldn't be dignified. |
