and there they let me search there money, and I found:
2 1993 $20
2 five dollar star notes
and 1 $10 star notes.
So wasn't a half bad day. Makes up for the searching through cents.

Thanks. I know the tellers, not personally, but I go there once a week asking if they had anything neat or different. Then I started showing them different things like a silver quarter, silver half, star notes, etc. Well, one day the teller that I show this to asked "Would you like to look through my money, and see what you can find?" I was shocked, but said yes, and they have been letting me do it since. So far I have found:
3 or 4 star notes
a crisp 1993 $50
a few 1993 $20
a 1953 B $5
a 1963, 63 A, 63, B $5 notes
So, I think this is better than working at a bank, but I get close to the same privileges lol.

Wow Phoenix, thats nice that they'd let you do that. When I was younger back when I first started collecting, the tellers at the bank let us sit at a table and search the rolls of halves, but, of course back in 1977 there was still lots of silver in those rolls. We made out very well. Im going to try that at my bank, asking to look through the notes they have. Who knows, maybe they'll let me. |

Yeah, it sure is. I wish I could have as good as luck with silver though. But, I did ask them to look for silver for me and keep an eye out, and they said that they will. So, that is nice. Good luck with your bank!

I don't have them in hand yet, I'm having them hold some for me. Not that much, I'm guessing about $20-$30 face. Should be able to pick them up in about a few weeks.
