[Resolved] Having Trouble Registering for new board.

Postby Merovingian on Fri Oct 02, 2009 2:20 pm

I am Having Trouble Registering for new board.

I have submitted a support ticket, but I thought I would post here as well and maybe save the tech support guys some trouble.

I am attempting to create a new board, this is my first time on this site.

I went through the normal registration procedure, picked a style, board name/domain, username and password.

On step three I got an error that stated 'too many links' along with a bunch of other 'code' error types (I did not copy the exact error).

I hit back and tried again, and now I get an error that the board name is taken and it will not let me proceed any further.

I did NOT get an email that said the board had been created, and when I type the URL into my browser I get sent to a search site instead of my board.

Not sure what to do now.

beneelohim.inviteonly.ws is the board name I am after.

The name you have posted is the custom domain name.

What was the default URL of the board? It will be something like...

http://www.freepowerboards.com/yourboardname

or

http://www.yourboardname.freepowerboards.com

Belay that. I have found your board URL, but your board is not working

Go back to your support ticket and put in the following information

Board URL = http://www.freepowerboards.com/beneelohim/

Problem = Cannot access due to the following error

General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

Table 'fpbv3_19.33151_config' doesn't exist [1146]

An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.

OK, I'll get the Tech to reset the board so you can try again.

This time,

► choose the "http://www.freepowerboards.com/forum/" option

► type "beneelohim" in the box after "http://www.freepowerboards.com/"

There is a problem with custom domains at this time

The issue is not domain specific.

Nobody can create any forum at this time.

We are working to resolve this issue.

Just to keep any potential new registrants updated, I have received this message from the technical staff

We won't be allowing any more new registrations on the current software. We have been working on developing a new engine to run our free forum hosting solutions. We are using the latest version of phpbb (3.0.6). We are implementing many performance enhancements and will also be able to install numerous plugins, including the portal.
