Ad-Free Problem?

Postby madaferguson on Mon Oct 19, 2009 11:36 am

Hello,

I donated to the ad-free upgrade via paypal, the payment went through successfully. However, I have yet to see any upgrade to ad-free for my forum. Help? I've sent a ticket before.

You do not appear to have installed the Ad-Free mod on your forum, this section of your Index Page should have a [Remove Ads] link, like this....

Administration Index -> Addons -> MOD Center

Opposite Donate Adfree click Install

I have done that now, however, when I click 'remove ads' it tells me that I must pay again. I am willing to do so if necessary, however, will EVERYONE have to pay to remove ads? Please elaborate on this.

Not EVERYONE, but ANYONE.

The [Remove Ads] link allows ANY of your members to contribute to ad-free through their own Paypal accounts, so, for example, if you can convince 12 members to pay US$4.95 each, your forum will remain ad-free for a year.

However, you still have a problem with ads showing. When did you submit the ticket?

I submitted it on either Friday or Saturday I believe... I am not sure. Though, if I pay from the ACP for one month this will eliminate all ads for ALL members and guests? Right? Just to clarify.

OK, leave it a couple of days. The techs are working on a serious problem at this time, related to new registrations, so they probably haven't had time to deal with tickets. If you are still not ad-free by Friday, post back here and I'll contact them.

Yes, any ad-free payment by anyone whether it is via the ACP or the [Remove Ads] link, makes the whole Board ad free for anyone viewing it, including guests.

See my Board for example (use the link on my profile panel next to this post)

NOTE: the Row of ad buttons on my board are my OWN custom ads. They are links that take users to the various rugby competititon my users are interested in.

Hey there,

We've yet to get our ads removed. I understand that you said to wait until Friday, however, is there any way to speed up the process?

Hi,

I apologize for the delay. I'm not sure how you made the payment but there was a bug during the transaction. I've fixed your forum and it is now adfree.

thank you.
