well noone can log in on my board even me,so not sure how a person could get everyones passwords,,all i want is our site to be deleted and i can start over because they deleted alot of gifs and replaced it with *Spam*.

Even if you re-register as a new member you still cant get in either.

As far as I know, BestFreeForums is not a part of Freepowerboards (although the URL directs here for some reason)

I don't know whether BFF was originally owned by Chris Davis of FPB and was part of the sale to CrowdGather, or whether it originally belonged to CrowdGather in the first place.

Your best bet would be to start a V3 forum, because V2 is no longer supported by phpBB.com

yea well chris davis is the one who we emailed first then he sent me to you he said he sold it back in 2008,,but all i wanted was the site to be deleted because there are adult things put on there and it wasnt by us and noone can log in.

Submit a ticket and ask for your forum to be deleted....and explain why.

You may have to supply the email address you originally registered the forum with (proof you are who you say you are)

ok we are hollyjohnnylee but our email was changed because we tried retrieving our password but it says the site doesnt reconize our email and gives us this ,,Could not connect to smtp host : 2 :

and not sure how to submit a ticket but we used afterhourshandj@yahoo.com this was our site http://www.bestfreeforums.com/forums/th ... retso.html someone hacked into our site,changed our password and possibly our email info,,but for sure the site has broken the TOS so please delete our at least fix it so we can get in and fix those things ourselves cause you cant make a new board at this time for some reason.

ok I submitted a second ticket with the correct email and screen name proving it is our site,,all we wanted is to fix it so we can log in or just delete the whole site.

Once you have submitted a ticket, you need to communicate via that ticket.

The response time for tickets depends on how busy the techs are.

sorry for being so Frustrated but if you see our board you can see we have been locked out since may 13th and have been trying to sign up here since then its just recently we were able to join,then not to mention having to send 2 support tickets,,its been one thing after the other.

I am unable to read your support tickets since I don't have sufficient privileges.

Please keep in mind that I am a Global Moderator with Admin privileges for THIS Community Board only, and that doesn't give me access to the support ticket system.

Also, please do NOT post about this issue in the Announcement topic. THIS is your topic for THIS issue, and you should only be posting about it here. Posting all over the place won't get a quicker response, and it wastes my time having move posts around back to where they belong.

The problem with deleting your Board is with the fact that it is a "Bestfreeforums" (BFF) board; a previous incarnation of Freepowerboards that dates from prior to Crowdgather's purchase from Chris Davies. However, it appears that BFF didn't come with any support access as it is a largely unsupported host...e.g.its .com address redirects the the FPB homepage but CrowdGather have stated numerous times that they no longer support BFF because its a phpBBV2 board. V2 is no longer supported by phpBB.com

OK, I have been able to ascertain that you email add is still valid on the board

When I try to recover lost password, if I input your username and MY email address, I get

The e-mail address you supplied does not match the one listed for that username.

However, when I input your username and YOUR email address, I get

Could not connect to smtp host : 2 :

This indicates that the password recovery system correctly validated your username against your email address and tried to send you your password, but the forum was unable to connect to the mail server to send the email. I find it unlikely that you have been hacked, since one of the first things any forum hacker would do is change both the board email address and any administrators passwords and email addresses.

Are you 100% sure that you are trying with the correct password?

Are/was the user "russandlisa" a bona-fide user at your forum?

no i made the site for them but they cannot get in either,,but i do remember doing something on the inside of the admin panel down at the bottum about sending emails to the whole board soon after that is when things went haywire.
