(does this picture of Aunt Rose looks like she is evil and insane or what? WRONG GUESS! In the movie she is really nice. But the actor's face does look something like this....probably because she is OLD.)
Category: Supernatural Thriller/drama
It Contains: Bad wardrobe /Violence/Disturbing Images/Adult LanguageS
Rated R
One out of Five Stars
Plot:
Three robbers/murderers broke into a suburban home of a family (with the daughter’s girlfriend). But there is just a little twist to this; behind one bedroom door upstairs lied an old women, Aunt Rose.
Review:
Again, one of the covers that lied! The cover made it looked like it’s a movie about a maniac (Aunt Rose) who would strike and brutally kill the robbers one by one. But instead, Aunt Rose was a very nice psychic women who was bed ridden. She made the robbers hallucinate and sees their worst nightmare (about their past).
There aren't many actions, not much slashing, a lot of flashbacks and slow moving scenes.
OK, so after the dad and their daughter's girlfriend got murdered by these vicious murderers. Aunt Rose came downstairs from her bedroom (while the robbers aren't looking) and revived the corpses of the dad and the friend. But the way she did it was weird. Aunt Rose SPITTED her own blood into her hand and she rubbed it across the dead bodies lower lips.
Another point I STRONGLY wanted to make is Aunt Rose talked too much, and she doesn't do much. Plus at the end, it was surprising. A BIGFOOT looking monster came down from their attic and killed the remaining robbers. And before Aunt Rose died (she used too much of her PYSHIC power that she EXHAUSTED herself to death),she called the BIGFOOT looking thing "SON".
At the end, I was confused and kind of mad that I watched this. Good thing is that the DVD was sent to me by a horror fan who wanted me to review the movie.
Well, I got fooled by the cover AGAIN. Like a lot of movies out there that the cover design doesn't resemble the movie. I thought this was going to be like "Tooth Fairy" or” Scarred". BUT NO.
Rated Triple B for BAD BAD BAD
and another movie that has a kick-ass cover, but the movie is not like it.
THINK TWICE before you rent it. |
