PLOT:
A forty years old women from American goes to Russia in search of her real parents. But when she got there; it was more then she had ever bargained for.
THE REVIEW:
I liked it a lot. It was more of a drama though; yet very interesting and scary at times. I found a lot of these kinds of horror films very sad because it's always due to ones' curiosity that one died finding the truth.
I guess many things were best to be kept at where they belonged; and this movie was the perfect example of it. But I can't blame the women for going to Russia after she received a phone call about her parent's estate from Russia. She must be curious of how the parent looked like, how and where they lived.
So she went there and the time in that place are different. Somehow her dead father could seemingly control time. But what I don’t understand was that how could he (a ghost) called his lost daughter from Russia to America; and how does he trap real alive people to his "dead" reality. It was never quite explained. My best GUESS was before the father died he had done some sort of evil spell and it worked. Other then that, I don't see how he could control time (past and future), defied the law of physics, found her lost daughter's number and called her outside of the country. It just seemed a little much..
Overall, this movie was dark and meaningful. It was definitely one of the best- made movie from the 8 Afterdark films.
DISTRUBING IMAGES:
1) When the wild hogs were eating the women's brother alive. His face were torn by the hogs' teeth.
2.) The father tried to feed his newborn to the hogs and when he tried to drowned another.
3) The wild hogs.
