THE STORY"
A young beautiful woman Liza have moved from NYC to Louisiana to inherit an old hotel. This hotel is no ordinary hotel; the hotel is supposedly one of the “seven gates of hell“. 60 years ago, a man (warlock/painter) tried to warn the people in the hotel to tell them that this hotel is one of the gateways to hell and that they should evacuate from it. The people that he have warned got furious of what he was purposing to them; so a group of men went and kidnapped him from his room to beat/torture/acid him in the basement. But since the basement IS the gateway to hell (with a seal of evil) and his blood was spilled onto it; the seal is broken and now the evil is free. After this incident, everyone in that hotel have vanished and no one have ever seen them alive.

Now Liza inherited this old hotel and she insisted that this hotel shall not be sold; instead she would keep it for herself and make it into her own hotel. While she was driving back to town to get something, a blind woman and her dog were in the middle of the road. So, Liza stopped the car and walked up to this blind woman. The blind woman said she was waiting for her and had warned her to leave the hotel and go back to where she came from and that the hotel was not a good place; but Liza didn't listen.

The plumbing in this hotel does not work so Liza had arranged for a handyman to come fix it. So, Joe the plumber went down to the basement of the hotel and broke some walls down. In the walls he found a leak and a strange marking; the seven gates of hell seal. Now the Evil is unleashed and have killed Joe the plumber.

After many deaths in the hotel, Liza finally came to realization that there IS something abnormal that went and still goes on in this hotel. Something very cold and very dead. All the strangeness traced to this book called " Eibon" (supposedly believed as "the book of hell").

Legends believed that “Eibon” the book of hell will bring knowledge to the secrets of hell and its gateways. And it was also believed that the painter/warlock had died and his blood was on the evil seal (so the seal is broken) therefore if he enters his own room “room 36”. ALL DEAD WILL RISE AND WALK THE EARTH.

REVIEW:
First time I heard about this movie was on a “Utube” trailer. I clicked to see a preview of “The Burnt Offspring” but the trailer ended up to be a COLLECTION of trailers; and “The Beyond” was included. The trailer consisted of a blind young woman who petted his dog and all of a sudden her DOG BIT her THOART out and then her ears. That REALLY interested me! Even Cujo didn’t had such knack for gore compared to this dog in “The Beyond”. It confused and interested my curiosity of why this gentle dog suddenly attacked (bit her throat and ear out) his beloved owner.

So through hundreds of hours of searches, I finally found a copy to download. I didn’t know what to expect or what this movie would be like.

It was WAY BEYOND!! I never watched a film that was so different; not only good , it is DIFFERENT. It contains mysteries, interesting characters, perfect gore, a lot of acid kills, zombies and a lot more. This movie almost seemed like it was a COLLECTION of different ideas; but well putted together. The movie WILL keep your interest at all times.

It would be hard to explain this in a paragraph so I decided to do it in a different format: Point Forms.

CONTRADICTIONS/INTERESTING MATERIALS: (I try not to make It sound confusing , although the whole movie WAS confusing)

1.) Story started off the blind woman saying, “ I have carried this book “Eibon” for thousands of years.
(WHICH MEANS SHE IS NOT HUMAN; she is more like a prophets of some sort. )

2.) Liza inherited the hotel.
(IT WAS NEVER EXPLAINED how/ why and from whom she inherited the hotel from)

3.) Liza hired Joe the plumber to fix the pipes and the water systems.
(JOE IS AN IDIOT, I DON’T KNOW why he broke a random wall in the basements. He was sent there to fix the pipes, instead he poked around and got killed. What a surprise1)

4.) Liza drove down the road to go to town and met Emily (the blind woman) and her dog. And the blind woman said, “I have been looking for you.”
(It is almost sarcastic that the blind woman said “EYE have been LOOKING for you” (since she was blind) And also she said she was driving to get some of her stuff; but wasn’t she in Louisiana and isn’t NYC REALLY far from it? She could just drive there and back here in a day.)

5.) Joe the Plumber was in the mortuary and his family went to visit him. His wife went into the room where he was stored (with her daughter outside). Suddenly the acid from the cabinet in the room got poured on her and she screamed insanely and her daughter came in; only to see her mother’s face get desinagraded by acid.
(OK, the ACID WAS POURED by a supernatural force on to her.)

6.) Suddenly the movie turned into a post apocalyptic movie; where the main character and the doctor (her boyfriend) survived and the zombie had risen.

DON’T WANT TO RUINED THE WHOLE MOVIE FOR YOU.
GO WATCH IT!

Five out of Five Stars
***Beware of the bad soundtracks in this movie, especially that happy/hip music the movie played when someone were getting brutally mutilated or burnt by acid, which to me was very strange)***

Unique experience, definitely a good example for a underground/indie horror movie.
