Summary:
Two young women and young men were woken without their memory behind unlocked asylum doors. What they don’t know was what lurks inside the walls of this dark rusty asylum walls. Later they found and released the others. Now eight people are trying to escape this impossible situation. Later they each finds their identity in eight different locker in the asylum.
1.) The Redhead is Kate and she is a doctor
2.) Melissa the girl who got killed instantly when Kate released her was a nurse who used to work in this asylum.
3.) The black muscular man is a prisoner (for attempted murder/armed robbery)  in this asylum; his name is Steve.
4.) The man with the glasses is a computer technician who works for the asylum is named Charlie.
5.) The skinny tall lady is a model who also happens to be a nymphomaniacs and suffers from a nervous breakdown is named Amber.
6.) The woman who acts like a shrew is named Stacy and the asylum is one of her client.
7.) The man who died shortly in the beginning of the movie is Dave and he was the security guard for this asylum.
8.) The man who was awaken with Kate is Jack. Jack is not really who he claims he is; the real Jack is the older man who is still hooked on to the “brain washing machine.” He is actually Dr. Manger who conducted this horrible experiment with a good intent. He created this “brain washing machine” who is suppose to completely clean out the patient’s trauma memory so they could start from the beginning and be what they wanted to be without the horrible memory that they were suffering from. But they conducted the experiment on this one patient “Jack” who has nothing in his memory so instead of cleaning his memory. Somehow it created this “Shadow Creature” who seems to want to consume life. Dr. Manger described it as “it is pure essence of life.”

They took their belongings out of the lockers and wore their clothes that belong to them over their uniform (which is grey underwear.) Then one by one they got killed by “the Shadow Creature.” But the victims’ bodies were never found; only blood and chaos.
Will they survive? Or will their memory come back and haunt them?

Review:
This film has its highs and lows. The highs are the actors’ acting, it was superb and believable. The lows are only one thing : the visual effects of “the Shadow Creature.”

The first ten minutes of the film was unbelievable boring. The scene should have ran a little quicker than it did. The audience already got the point that the main characters are scared, just walked out of their cell and now they are looking for other people to talk to about their situation. The director should never underestimate the audience and their ability to receive. When the same scenes are stretched longer than it should; the scene gets boring to the audience. So the audience either fast-forward it or just skip the whole chapter of the movie.

Approximately after the first fifteen minutes of the movie, it gets interesting! When the main character, Kate who is a optimist with a good heart tries to save other victims that is in the same situation as they are (which is locked behind doors, except these people were locked up.) When they got saved by Kate, the audience expects that the victim who was released by Kate a moment ago will survive or at least tag along with the group for half the movie. But NO. The second victim that Kate tried to save was Melissa who was locked up in a dark room with a head mask and chains around her body. Once Kate released Melissa “the Shadow Creature” sliced  her to a bloody mess within 30 seconds.

The movie overall was suspenseful and cunningly smart. This movie has such a good cast member that it doesn’t matter if the effect of “the Shadow Creature” was horrible. And some part of the movie doesn’t make sense. Like the part where “Jack” (but he is really the doctor who created all this madness)  explained how this monster was created which was he used the “mind washing machine” on this patient (Jack) who has nothing in his memory (which is just strange). So instead of washing his collective conciseness it created this “Shadow Creature” which doesn’t really add up or make much sense. And as Dr. Manager explained; “the Shadow Creature” came from “Jack” and it is a pure life essence. What does that mean? Other then some of the  characters occasional moves that doesn’t make sense that leads to their death. The movie was alright; the acting was the part that really made the movie terrific and watch -able.

Three out of Five Stars.

***if you like movie like Bogeyman, Stay Alive, Pulse, you will probably find this intriguing.****
