Wow... There was a long conversation on foreign languages... o_O ...About languages, I'm currently learning Japanese. I'm in level 3 right now. I would have been in level 4 had I started in freshmen year, but I chose art over it instead. I don't quite know if I made the right decision back then... because Japanese is really fun and easy, while art is killing me! ...And the funny thing is, I'm still taking art. XD _________________

I'm not sure how I started it...
I think my penfriend from Japan mentioned it that it's worth to watch it. And after I needed some vocabluary training I started watching the RAW's without the subs^^
And it was fantastic |

I have a penpal in Japan, but I haven't received a reply from her in about a year. Either she's really busy, forgot about me, or doesn't care to keep up anymore. ...That's really cool you can understand the RAWs. I'm still learning Japanese and don't know enough to watch the RAWs yet. Sucks. I wish I could watch the RAWs. Then I wouldn't have to wait for the subs to be released. >__< _________________

I'm not quite sure what the current topic is at the time of this post, so my apologies for this off-topic-ish post.
Anyways, I actually have a question. I recently heard Another Revolution by Tsuchiura (or rather, his CV) and I'm wondering if anyone knows the name of the classical piece the melody is based off of... It's really familiar, but I just can't put my finger on it... Help? =D |

Hm, I haven't heard the song yet, but chances are that it's one of Chopin's or something he's played/a piano piece. Like how Shimizu's is Bach's cello prelude. So if you're going to look I'd start with Chopin.
On another note, Mari! Your avatar and signature are so cute! ^.^
When trying to watch stuff in Japanese it's easiest to pick up names, instrument and words like renshuu (practice) or concours. Apart from that, watching lots of anime does subconciously help with vocab and pronounciation. _________________

@ Nanashi: ANOTHER REVOLUTION is indeed based on a piano piece by Chopin, like Charcol had mentioned and that piece is "Etude op.10 No.12." I posted it on the main site when the lyrics were posted. Hm, which reminds me if there are any other songs that were based off classical pieces or whatnot that I forgot to post on the site... _________________ "For me, as long as you're saying it, it doesn't matter how slowly you say it, I'll still listen. If you can't talk over the phone, then I'll come to see you, just like this. I'm not a dolphin. You're also not a dolphin. If you want to walk, no matter how slowly it'll be, I'll walk with you."
"Right now, I might not be that reliable. One day, maybe I'll be able to help. Things can't be the same as they were before, but there's this kind of feeling that's linking us together. I don't think we're living in different worlds."

Wow. So many people have the same ideas. Weird. I also try to understand the language of the characters by picking out certain words that I have learned and trying to piece them together in a sentence. It's quite genius actually considering you learn more of the language using this technique as well.
@ Soupeh I also had heard Pachelbel's Cannon a million times over but I never found it and now I have like 20 copies because of La Corda D'Oro. Same with Ave Maria. They are just such beautiful pieces. _________________ The Cellist says:

Haha, that reminded me of Evangelion. Because of that show, I have quite literally, thirty different versions of Fly Me to the Moon as well as the quartet version of the Canon.
Also, on Ave Maria, I was reminded this morning while listening to random music, that Kanon (the lady who recorded Brand New Breeze) has also sung a version of Ave Maria. Her voice is definately gorgeous but technically, I'm being a little picky when I say I prefer other interpretations. That doesn't stop me enjoying her singing though, it's certainly worth listening to. _________________

Lol. She does have a very beautiful voice. I enjoy listening to her sing. I've never heard her version of Ave Maria though... _________________ The Cellist says:
