"FOOD." Mizuki yelled, storming through the door of her practice room and bolting for the kitchen. Kei looked up. The traditional call for dinner. He sighed and replaced his flute in it's case. To be honest, he was pretty hungry too. His stomach was pinching by this time of day, as he'd neglected to eat breakfast.
Wrenching the door open again Kei sighed and stepped out into the hallway, pausing when he saw the person he liked best out of every single person in this house.
Ruika.
His lip was about to curl in disgust when he stopped. Oh. That was right. He still had yet to apologize. Mizuki had spent all morning bothering him about it- the main reason why he hadn't eaten anything, because he'd been too busy shooting reasons as to why he shouldn't apologize.
"Oh. You-Er..." Kei paused, knowing that what he was going to say would've been extremely rude, and so instead he sighed and waved his hand, "Ugh, whatever. Listen, I'm sorry about yelling at you, and saying all those things about you... last time." Kei finished lamely. So maybe he hadn't been the one who suggested apologizing to her. If she said even ONE word about 'fake' or 'you didn't have to', he'd have a hell of a lot of trouble not yelling at her all over again.
He stood where he was trying his very very best not to push her aside and just go eat so that he wouldn't have to say anything else that might rip his pride into even smaller pieces for the rest of the night. Planting himself to where he stood, Kei folded his arms and waited expectantly for a 'You're Forgiven', or at least a 'It doesn't matter'.
Anything but a skeptical or rejecting response.
So maybe the aura he was giving off wasn't exactly a, "Please-forgive-me" aura. Maybe it was a, "I-don't-do-apologizing,-so-be-grateful" kind of air.
But at least he'd said it.
~
"I hope you like chinese food, I can't really cook much else successfully." Seiji sweatdropped, embarassed at the simple chinese meal that sat on the table. It consisted of the only 5 dishes he knew how to cook without making it taste too awkward, and with Seiji's tastebuds, it was amazing he'd reached even 3. The bowls of rice sat neatly placed in front of each chair, with Seiji cowering in the corner, superbly humiliated that Hachino-sensei had asked him to cook dinner.
"Y-You don't know how to cook Hachino-sensei??"
"Nope. Unless you want to eat ramen. That's what I usually eat every night. It's good. It's easy to make. There's not much more you can ask for. Ramen? Or you cook? Everyone else is practicing you know."
Seiji sighed, sitting down on the chair on the right hand corner, waiting for everyone else.
"FOOD!" Mizuki bellowed again, "ITADAKIMAS!!"
Snatching up a pair of wooden chopsticks, she began to eat before everyone else, swallowing a huge bite of fish and rice grinning and saying, "This is good Seiji-kun!"
Seiji sweatdropped, "Seiji-kun??? Wasn't it Lin-senpai just a few seconds ago??"
"A-Ah, um, I uh, I'm glad you like it..."
Though Mizuki ate quickly and barbarically, being raised in a rich family had it's perks: After she'd finished her first bowl, (yes. First.) there wasn't even a single grain of rice on the table, on her lap, shirt, hair, face, anywhere! Not even any in the bowl! _________________

Ruika wasn't expecting an apology from Kei, so this was something new. With his temper, she wasn't in the mood to even argue with him, so she calmly replied, "Whatever, it's fine. Don't worry about it." Even if you probably don't mean it deep down. "I don't know about you, but I'm getting hungry, so I'm gonna go to the kitchen." With that, Ruika walked to the kitchen, not paying attention if Kei was hungry too and was also going to be heading for the kitchen.
------
At the table, she noticed that there was Chinese food and Seiji was the one who cooked it. It didn't look fancy at all, not that she cared and as long as it didn't look or taste like crap, she'd eat it. She remembered that the last time she had Chinese food, it wasn't all that great and just ate it to be polite. This time, she hoped it'd be different.
"Hm, wonder was the last time I had Chinese food...? Anywho, I'm sure it can't be that bad." Taking a bowl and chopsticks she took some of the rice and food from the various plates, she took a bite of it. "It's pretty good. Thanks for cooking, Seiji-san." She said with a slight smile.
She ate quietly as she saw Mizuki, in particular, zoom through a bowl of food and was amazed that though she was eating quite barbarically, she left no mess behind. Alexei, who had arrived a couple minutes after virtually everyone was eating, was shocked too as he'd never seen anyone eat THAT fast in his life that it was kinda creepy. He wasn't all that hungry, so he didn't eat that much and as he was in no rush, there was no point in eating fast.
"Wow, you're insane. I can't believe you ate that fast; you MUST be hungry, Mizuki-san." said Alexei in slightly shocked tone.
((Wow~ so, uber short! XD; Can't think of anything else. XP))

OOC: Oh, hehe, we don’t have anything to say~~ How can that be possible? XDD How about we all play a game to get to know each other more? It’d be fun but Haruka can’t be the one suggesting it, Seiji or Mizuki can so what do you think?
After playing a few more songs, Haruka decided she was hungry so she packed up her clarinet and headed back to her room to drop it off. Before she left the room, though, she looked out the window. Oh, wow…it’s such a beautiful night tonight. There are so many stars in the sky...haha…I wonder what Hiro is doing at the moment… Feeling her pocket, she smiled, glad that she didn’t drop it again.
When she arrived at the dining room, she was glad that dinner was already ready. Everyone was present except Alexei who came after a few minutes. Haruka can’t exactly say the meal was absolutely delicious but it wasn’t that bad. Smiling, she turned to Seiji, “This is pretty good. You did well.”
Mizuki must’ve really been hungry or just loved Chinese food because she was finished with her first bowl before Haruka really started to eat. She was only test-tasting a few dishes before.
Well, I guess you do need a lot of energy to play instruments but…oh, yeah, that’s right! Haruka’s eyes searched for the teacher on the table and when they landed on him, she said, “Sensei, aren’t you going to tell us the theme of the first selection now?” _________________ ~Rella~ |

Hachino-sensei had two chopsticks hanging from his mouth as he contemplated what to eat, looking up at Asazaki and rolling his eyes, taking out the chopsticks, "Hold your horses. I'm not telling you until I want to, it'll be this week, so chill."
"U-Uhh..." Seiji flushed, "Th-Thank you, i-it's not really all that g-great..." He trailed off, staring blankly at his food, too embarassed to eat. He'd never really been accustomed to compliments and always reacted rather awkwardly, not knowing what to say exactly.
Mizuki grinned, "I always eat like this~" She stood up and twirled her bowl expertly in her hand as she scooped up another bowl of rice, "Seconds!" She announced to nobody in particular, "Hey hey, since we've all already praciced today, we should play a game after dinner!"
"No." Kei said flatly, eating his rice in small portions and not eating any of the other dishes that were laying out across the table.
"Pleeeeeeassss-"
"No." Kei repeated, eating his rice plain with closed, annoyed eyes.
Mizuki huffed, "Fine! Then I'll just play cards with Alex-chan."
Kei visibly turned blue as he choked on a clump of rice and Mizuki smirked, raising an eyebrow at her older brother and chirping innocently, "So how 'bout it?!?"
Glaring darkly at his sibling, Kei snarled, "Fine."
"Yay!!" We should play... We should plaaay~ We should play a game to get to know each other! Seiji can go first, since we all know him the least!"
Seiji twitched in his seat, an expression of disbelief on his face, "M-Me??"
"Yeah!" Mizuki gave Seiji a thumbs up.
"You're collecting information again, aren't you?" Kei sighed, going back to eating his rice, knowing his sister would be clacking away on her laptop after the game.
"NO!" Mizuki defended, dramatically acting like she was hurt and jabbing the side of Kei's head with her chopsticks, "I'm not THAT mean!"
"Liar... OUCH!" Kei waved the chopsticks away.
Mizuki stuck her tongue out at her brother and started to eat again, "So after dinner, we'll play a game, okay??" _________________

"No problem. I'm used to eating fancier things, but I like the simple things too. It's a good mix every once in a while. Eating fancy food just gets annoying after a while, even if I love it." Ruika really was telling the truth and though she still wasn't uber fond of Chinese food as a whole, Seiji's cooking tasted decent to her and didn't seem like crap at all.
When Ruika heard Mizuki ask if they could play a game after dinner, she didn't say anything. She wasn't sure if it'd be a good idea or what, of course it was amusing to see Alexei cringe slightly when Mizuki called him 'Alex-chan' again.
"Are you going to keep calling me that, Mizuki-san?" Alexei mumbled with a sigh.
As soon as she mentioned that it'd be game to get to know each other better, Ruika didn't express any emotion on her face as it still was a calm look. In her mind, she sighed while thinking sarcastic thoughts. A game to find out more about each other... Lovely~
"Mizuki-san has a good point as all of us pretty much know nothing about you, Seiji-san. Even Alex barely knows you and you two are in the same class." Ruika said to Seiji calmly.
A game to find out more about each other huh? Such a waste of time, but would practicing be any better? Or sleeping? Wait... if I sleep now, I have a feeling Mizuki would do something to me while I was sleeping... Sigh~ _________________ "For me, as long as you're saying it, it doesn't matter how slowly you say it, I'll still listen. If you can't talk over the phone, then I'll come to see you, just like this. OOC: Ooh, how about a game of Truth or Dare? XD That’s like my favorite game. ^^ Or just Truth…or Two Truths and One Lie!
Haruka tried not to get mad when Hachino replied back to her that way. Chill? Wow, that’s a great word for a teacher to use. Fine, I guess I’ll just have to wait. She continued to eat silently while thinking about the concours until Mizuki brought up the idea of getting to know each other more by playing a game.
The first thought that came to mind was an objection phrase but thinking about it a little more, it wouldn’t hurt to know more about her opponents. The prodigy’s background was pretty clear already but the others’ backgrounds were still unknown to her. If they mention anything about instruments or anything related to music, it wouldn’t be that bad but she would still rather her see everything herself than to listen to them say everything.
“I guess I’m in. I would love to know some things about you guys,” Haruka said. It came out really sarcastically but it was supposed to sound only a little sarcastically. Oh well, she tried. _________________ ~Rella~ |

((Hee, hee. I've played both and I actually like them both, though I think the second one will work better, I think anyway. Hm, with that, should we get uber specific or just be general?))
"Whatever. I really don't care." Not like this'll keep my interest for long... Alexei said in a apathetic tone as he got out his mp3 player and headphones. He placed one of the ear pieces in his ear while the other one just dangled. "I can still hear everything that you're saying," he said idly as he waved his hand slightly and his other hand was resting under his chin. "I just wanna make sure I won't be bored to death."
Ruika saw Alexei and sighed. That's Alex for ya. Something like this just won't keep his attention, unless he finds out something that'll be of some use to him. Sigh~ He already knows my whole past, other than that one part... He does know a part of that, but not the whole truth behind it... which I don't plan on revealing, I hope, to anyone.
Ruika was unconsciously fiddling with her dolphin necklace from the boredom. The necklace, though it didn't stick out that much, even the tiny diamond for an eye, you wouldn't know it was a diamond unless you had a jewelry expert look at it; it looked like cubic zirconia or crystal with a quick glance. But, it actually did have a meaning behind it....
Knowing about everyone else could have its ups and downs, but it's not like she'd use it to her advantage, unless she wanted to blackmail them or something, but that wasn't something that she'd do... _________________ "For me, as long as you're saying it, it doesn't matter how slowly you say it, I'll still listen. "Seiji goes first!" Mizuki chirped, and Hachino-sensei stood up abruptly.
"You kids have fun." He said, walking away, but Mizuki threw herself on his arm and cried, "NUUU! HACHINO-SENSEI HAS TO PLAY TOO!!"
Hachino-sensei sighed, "No. That's okay."
"Yes."
"Are you arguing with me?"
"Yes."
"Give it up Mizuki." Kei sighed.
"No."
"Fine."
"Really??!"
"No." Hachino-sensei tried to wave the annoying girl off of his arm, "Listen, I'm your teacher, not your friend."
"Just one round!"
"...Let go, and fine."
"OKAY!" Mizuki let go and hurried back to her seat, smiling expectantly at Seiji, "Let's play Two Truth's, One lie!"
Seiji flushed and muttered, "Uh... Okay, uh... I can play a string instrument... umm... I uh... have a performance every Sunday, and my family runs a music shop...."
Mizuki raised an eyebrow, "Huh-uh. The Lin family runs a bookstore across from Hiu Park, it's a private business and serves a small amount of customers."
Seiji sweatdropped, "Uhh..." 'How does she know all this???'
"Nosy brat." Kei raised an eyebrow at Mizuki who grinned, "Your turn!"
"No." Kei averted his gaze, "That's not how the game works. You caught his lie, you have to go next."
"Okay, FINE then." Mizuki made a face at her brother, who pointedly ignored it, "I like sweets, I play double reed instruments, and I only like modern music, because classical is stuffy. Which ones a lie??~"
Kei sighed, knowing the answer, but not wanting it to be his turn, he kept quiet.
OOC: FYI, I don't know how to play that game, so if I did something wrong, tell me~ _________________

((Like I said over MSN, that's pretty much it. I've heard of various variations of it too. ))
What a pointless game... Thought Alexei as he was both hearing what both Seiji and Mizuki had say and listening to his music. Neither of them said things that were all that interesting and seemed like useless information to him. He was quite bored and he felt kinda drowsy as a result. I rather go to sleep than be here. To hell with what Mizuki could do to me...
=-=-=-=-=
Ruika was a little bored too, but not to Alexei's extent. Do I really have to play this game...? This just seems kinda boring, no offense... Ruika glanced at Alexei and noticed how bored he looked and a smirk formed on her normally calm face. Alex's is gonna kill me for this, but this'll be fun~ I know what the answer to Mizuki's sentences; it's the last one as I saw her eat ice cream and that's a sweet and she never said that she hated classical. She poked Alexei's arm.
-------
"Hm?"
"Say the third one." Ruika whispered in his ear.
"Why would I say 'the third one'?" Alexei replied back, not knowing that everyone could hear him.

OOC: You're playing it correctly, Hanabi but everyone else is allowed to ask the person who told two truths and one lie questions. ^^ For example, if I said I like purple, someone could ask me, "Well, what purple things do you have at home?" and then I would try to convince that person that I really do like purple and etc. Basically, we try to get everyone to believe what we said are true. And Icery, you can get specific if you want to.
Two Truths and One Lie, that sounds like a great game. Now she would get to know two things from the other people. When Seiji went first and said his truths and a lie, Haruka wanted to ask something but Mizuki replied first and got it right.
Huh...so she knows some things about everyone already. Well, that's one new thing I learned today. But...just how much does she know about everyone? Haruka looked at Mizuki suspiciously before Mizuki told everyone her truths and a lie.
Ignoring Alex's reaction to Ruika's whispering, Haruka said, "Well...you look like a person who loves sweets so I can't exactly think that's a lie and I believe you also said something about playing more than one instrument before but you not liking classical music yet you play a harp...sounds odd. If you don't like classical music, then why do you play the harp? That instrument doesn't have anything to do with modern music almost." _________________ ~Rella~ |

Mizuki shook her head, “Of course the harp has something to do with modern music. There are plenty of modern artists who play the harp in their music. I personally play most of Cheryl Ann Fulton’s music, and she’s far from classical. By modern I don’t mean the type of music, I mean the timeframe. Cheryl Ann Fulton is still very much alive, but the pieces of those dead guys make me bored.”
Mizuki waved her hand in a casually haughty way and leaned back on her chair, “Besides, being a musician is all about playing music other people enjoy, not what you enjoy.”
“Great philosophy. Taken straight from mommy’s mouth?” Kei asked sarcastically.
“It’s true. If nobody wants to listen to you play music, then there’s no point in playing music. I don’t believe in playing music for my own enjoyment, I mean, I prefer listening to other people play music.” Mizuki shrugged and said, “Besides, don’t you know the answer already Kei?”
“No.” Kei lied, folding his arms. _________________

"Ruika, if that really is the answer, you're not getting me to say it."
Ruika shrugged at his comment. "Whatever, could have made the game more interesting perhaps..."
Ruika had found a pen in her pocket, so she ended up doodling on a napkin. She drew nothing particularly interesting, just a willow tree and a sparrow. They were really rough sketches, so they were far from finished, but looked like the actual things.
Alexei sighed. "If what you say is true, Mizuki-san, then would the third one be the lie? Even if you're not fond with classical itself, you'd still play it for the sake of other people, right?"
Kinda stupid in my opinion. Unless I'm forced to play classical music, I pretty much won't play it. That is if it's not one the pieces that I actually like. Alexei didn't know why he even bothered to ask that question, but if he was right, it'd be his turn. He sighed at the thought.

"Ding ding ding." Kei said flatly, his arms folded and his voice long and suffering.
"DING DING DING!!!" Mizuki chirped, "ALEX-CHAN IS RIIIIGHT~ I like aaaall music. Classical, Jazz, Modern, Urban, Heavy-"
"Right, so anyway, It's Novikov's turn." Kei sighed, standing up and stalking over to the small refridgerator that stood into the corner of the dining room and pulling out a melon soda. Sitting back down he tapped on the cap for a long time before spinning it open and pushing the marble that blocked the opening down into the drink.
"Your turn Alex-chan!!"
Kei sipped his soda and thought, 'I don't know anything about this guy. At all. Oh well. Means I can sit out for another round, I guess.' _________________

"Damn, this sucks. Whatever... I'm gonna get you back for this." He said in a cold tone.
"Yeah, yeah~ Go ahead and try, Alex." Ruika said in a sarcastic, calm tone as she waved her hand slightly up and down.
Alexei sighed. Hm, what to say...? Fine, you want things to be a little bit more interesting. You've got yourself a deal.
"Besides living with my parents and Ruika, I've got two older siblings who are both musicians and are currently studying abroad -- one in Vienna, the other in America. I hate spicy food even though I've got a high tolerance for it."
He paused while trying to think up a third one. After how Mizuki was so easily able to figure out Seiji's lie -- either he just couldn't play this game right or Mizuki knew it somehow before hand. Even though he was bored, he was paying attention surprisingly. He knew it couldn't be obvious info that could be found easily, like where he went to school, what his parents' occupation were, etc. Though he knew that certain things wouldn't be found in his records or Ruika's (as she has many of the same stats as him) even though they were facts that normally would be in there.
Hm, last one could be.. ah. Here we go. "I know how to play piano, but not that well, or rather I'm not that motivated to practice."
He said things that wouldn't be so obvious and couldn't just look up. Ruika knew this one off the bat, but didn't say anything. She knew that all of them were true, but one was only half true. It won't be as simple as it looks, but let's see where this goes...

"How many siblings do you have?" Mizuki asked bluntly, and Kei practically spat out his soda, laughing behind his hand at how obvious Mizuki's question was.
"You can't ask that." Hachino-sensei sighed, shaking his head, "That's too direct. What key is in the very middle of the piano, Alexei?"
Kei sweatdropped, "The answer's obvious, even if you don't play the piano. You can't ask that either, that's stupid."
"Whatever." Hachino-sensei rolled his eyes and racked his brain, not being a piano player at heart, but having learned mostly everything in order to become a band teacher, "Which fingers do you use for the Dominant Seventh Chord?"
Kei sighed, 'Hachino-sensei doesn't know how to play this game, does he?'
"Oh...oh..." Seiji fidgeted in his seat like crazy, clapping his hands over his mouth to keep quiet. It was a basic thing to know, but Kei, being Kei, had no idea what the answer was, therefore, deemed the question as: Difficult. _________________
