Role-Playing Rules:
) You can be any character you want to be (provided you are in character during the role-playing). No character is reserved for any one person – it depends on each thread.
) You may participate in as many threads as you can handle, but try not to be the same character for more than a few threads. Let other people try out the character as well.
) No godmodding.
) Please don't use chatspeak, but rather have at least decent grammar; doesn't have be COMPLETELY perfect, but it shouldn't have a TON of mistakes in it.
) No responses can be less than 2-3 sentences if possible.
) You may use 1st person or 3rd person (past tense), but it has to be one or the other for each thread.
) Anyone can start an RPG thread, just be sure to have at least some scenario in mind.
) Threads created by users shall not carry explicit language, sexual references, or any slur that can be considered racist or hate crime related in the title. If this is seen, a moderator will change the title and warn the offending user.
) Sexual character encounters or situations, to include graphic foreplay, will not be permitted in a public thread. Cyber-sex, as it is called, will not be permitted PERIOD in a public thread.
) If you start a thread, your main post must have (at least) the Status, Characters List, the Scenario, and the Time/Place. (See the Main Post Guidelines thread for more information.) If you do not have this, your thread will be DELETED. And I mean it. This rule will be strictly enforced. After the main post, you may go ahead with your RPG thread’s scenario.
) Please check the status of a thread before joining in. If it’s Free For All, go ahead and join. However, if the status is only Open, you must PM or contact the thread starter before hand, instead of posting and then making an ooc comment saying, “I hope you guys don't mind if I join.”
) To close a thread (and yes, your thread must eventually end), contact a staff moderator (preferably an RPG mod) and inform them that the thread has been completed.
) Posting out of turn is rude. Patience is the key, as multiple postings of multiple actions are rather annoying when a player is trying to reply. In short, wait your turn to post. If a user complains of this, the offending user will be warned. Posting order isn’t enforced strictly, but rather we rely on users to be considerate to each other when it comes to posting order. Be kind to your fellow role-players, please.
) For any other questions, please see a staff member. Never assume or guess based off your experiences on another forum.
Note: Some rules have been taken from the Fruits Basket RPG forum, Furuba-Rama, and the Prince of Tennis forum, Boy’s Cloud. Took basics from the Ouran Koukou Host Club forum
I'll probably modify or add rules if necessary. |
