vk is the translator that did chapters 1-8
and they're close to dropping it because they think it's not very popular
if you want more chapters translated please visit this forum and let them know
(you have to be member of their forum to look at it and post comments)

"Firstly, I apologise on behalf of the team working on La Corda D'oro. I am the translator for La Corda, and also a fan, and primarily I'm the one doing the translations. I was told not to continue working on the translations ever since the start of this year as Evenstar, the VK Scans co-ordinator had told me that she was prepared to drop the series and was actually gathering opinions about whether we should drop the series. I told her that we have a large La Corda fanbase, and it was awfully difficult to find the latest La Corda scanlations online since not many people were doing them.
But Evenstar had said that we were way behind the Viz manga volume releases and it was also true. I have an awfully busy schedule this year, so I'm not that engaged with VK Scans work for La Corda D'oro and I have other VK Scans work to do as well.
We're not prepared to drop the projects we're working on right now, but all I can say is La Corda is on hiatus as there are not enough staff. Most of us have busy schedules and other projects to work on, so I do want to ask for your kind understanding.
If you manage to rally more support in the forum for us to continue to project for La Corda scanlations, please do so and I'll try and persuade Evenstar to let me continue the translations. I assure you I'll try and push through for the sake of La Corda fangurls. I understand your frustrations, and I'm also a fan, I don't want to stop translating or working on the project.
And as what taisa-chan, I've been filling the La Corda FC with summaries on what is happening in the recent chapters. You can search for the summaries in the FC pages, they've been indicated on the first post in the La Corda FC. If you're not satisfied with the summaries, try the La Corda LJ community for RAW scans.
I'm really sorry as Evenstar is currently overseas and I can't contact her at all till she returns, I do seek your kind understanding for the matter and I apologise once more for all the inconvenience that we might have caused. "

i'd like to know more about the manga... as far as my research has gone, i only know that the latest scanlation is chapter 8, being that the US VIZ media had licensed la corda manga. i wanted to read the detailed story of la corda even after i've watched the anime several times so that i could understand the characters and the story plot more. so... does anyone know anything about the latest scanlations?
