Note: I've never played KH2, but I know quite a bit about it. I've played a little of KH and a little of CoM, but not much KH because the way the screen turns makes me nauseous, and CoM wasn't mine.
Nonetheless, you'll find my knowledge of KH is pretty extensive for someone who's never played it.

Hm, I thought their voices were going to be in Japanese for the RE: Chain of Memories. *shrug* For the KH2: Final Mix, just like in the first game's Final Mix, it'll be in English.
Anywho~ yeah, I know what you mean. I played through both KH and KH2 and I'll admit that KH was a bit annoying because of the screen and some of the other controls were a bit wonky. KH2 definitely improves on the things that were annoying in the first one. I wished, though, that the 2nd was was longer and harder as I DID pick 'Proud' mode (the hardest of the 3 modes, and is the easiest more to get the Secret Ending), I thought that it was kinda hard at times, but not as hard as I thought and~ it felt too short. XP
My favorite charas (not in particular order): Riku, Sora, Roxas, Axel, Demyx, Zexion, and Xaldin.
Pairings... hm, I don't really know of any straight pairing that I'm uber, uber~ fond of, but I don't mind them. I'm definitely more into the boyxboy pairings instead (as I am a shonen-ai and yaoi fan. XD). At least I'm not one of those people who bashes the straight pairings and certain characters (like Kairi and Naminé for instance), because they like shonen-ai and yaoi better. ^^;;;
Favorite pairings: (I forgot what the fan names were for the pairings, but anyway~)
(And the vice versa works too.. depending on the pairing)

I like this game. It's fun, but I haven't really played the whole thing. I just basically played the first half and my brother played the exciting part, so I don't know what really happened in the climax. Overall, I still like it. Especially Marluxia. :] _________________
I've done the same thing as Serenity. I've played half...but since I don't have a brother the second half doesn't work so well.
