What can I say!

jukebox

Postby allent on Wed Feb 27, 2008 6:43 pm

I had to take out the country jukebox for a little bit so I could update the songs.

I already did the rock one. These things are sooo neat!
They upgraded the players to hold 100 songs instead of the 75.

That is a lot of songs to go find!!!

If you all have some preferences let me know.

Plus remember you can click on the stand alone button and it can play while you browse around in the forum, or continue playing as you do anything on the web anywhere. I love that part LOL

Cool! But, I got a little confused....

Postby Joselita on Fri Feb 29, 2008 1:27 am

:OH yeah:   Now, I don't know if we are supposed to be suggesting country or rock songs here?  But...I have some that might fall into either/both catagories, I think.

First and fore most, I will always and forever vote to add some Eagles!! (can go in coutnry too....I mean Desperado, Seven Bridges Road, Peaceful Easy Feelin', Tequila Sunrise, and so on...those can go in either.  Right?  But, you can put up Hotel California or Sad Cafe, or ANYTHING of theirs.  I'm not picky! LOL)

For Country; Vince Gill (I Still Believe In You, and just about anything else of his!  LOL), Garth Brooks (The Dance...and the one with the THunder in it..I forget the name of the song?)  Bocephus, Rascal Flats, that girl that sings the song about tearing up her cheating guy's truck?  Crap..what is her name?  She has a couple of songs I like), Hank Williams, ANYTHING by Willie Nelson (hope you can put Poncho and Lefty back up..I love that song!),  :bfart  That tall dark headed guy that sings the song..."Forever"?  I think that is what it is called (as long as old men sit and talk about the weahter, and as long as old women sit and talk about old men!).  If you can remember his name...anything by him.  And, most any thing by that other dude...super tall blonde dude (used to be SUPER cute....looked like my x!  ROFL) that sings "way down younder on the chattahoochee, it gets hotter than a hootchie cootchie" [whatever the name of that song is...LOL] and "Dont Rock the Juke Box" and "Midnight in MOntgomery".  ROFL!    Isn't it sad tht I can remember either the names of the songs, or a few lines in the place of the name...but not the guy's name who sings them??  :tnge  SHeesh!

Also...what about some Fleetwood Mac?  ANYTHING off of the Rumors album.  And, I don't know which catagory theirs can fit in....maybe both too? And Jackson Brown?

I can even come up with some Classical songs, to go along with the Beethoven that we have here already, if suggestions are wanted in that catagory too?  LOL...I LOVE Music!  ALL KINDS!!  Can you all tell?  ROFL

Ok....I'll stop for now.  But, I can come up with more if you need em!  If you could tell me how, I wouldn't mind helping you set those juke boxes up, or find music for them from time to time.  I imagine that it is a big job to find all of those songs (200 with two jukes there! WOW!!)!!

Thanks again, Allen, for setting this place up for us.  I love the music feature!!  WAY COOL! :hb:    :msc

Love and

Oh..Thank you Allen!  It was SOOO great to come and see The Eagles, and everything else that you got added to the juke box!

I will be glad to help you with the music!  Thanks so much for letting me.  I don't know that I will get much done (if any..) tonight, as I have a horrible head cold that is pushing on my brains (seriously....you know the kind that makes you feel like a cartoon character, with thier eyeballs pushing out, and trumpets coming out of their ears?  Well...that's me right now, thanks to the cold that Meghan brought home from work.  UGH! LOL).  I do promise to get started no later than tomorrow on it though!  I know that folks are missing the county junk box, and I will do what I can to help get it up and running ASAP!

Thanks for letting me help!

No...........

:thank

One of the things that might be different from other forums is that I will encourage those that want to help around here. I think it is a great learning experience for folks, and they might just forget about the pain for a while.

I am so sorry about your head cold...this winter has been very different in that the flu and colds have hit me about every 2 weeks after getting well from the last one. I have so many kids and grandkids it seems everytime someone comes to visit I get a new cough, sniffle, fever etc etc LOL.

I hope you get to feelin better

Been Sick :-(

Postby Joselita on Tue Mar 11, 2008 9:31 pm

Hey Allen.

Sorry that I have been MIA for the past week or so....that "head cold" that I said I was coming down with turned out to be a Cold From Hades instead!  I am just now starting to get over it!  Tell you what; I am sick of being sick.  Sheesh.

Anyway...I just wanted to let you know that I didn't fall of the end of the Earth or anything, and that I WILL get the Country Juke Box finshed up ASAP.  If I feel ok in the morning (like I think I will...now that the worst seems to be over *knocking on wood here*), I will work some more on it.  I did manage to get quite a few songs added to it when I was able to work on it before.

I did want to let you know that I think that part of the problem is that some of the songs that you had originally put on there have borken links now.  I don't know that I will be able to find others to replace those exact songs.  I will try (again...I did manage to find 2, I think), but hope that it is ok if I wind up having to replace them with others?  If so...got any suggestions as to what you would like in their places?  I am trying to get as wide of a variety of Country stuff on there as I can...

Anyway...I really wanted to let you know why I haven't been on line for the past little while, and to make sure that you didn't think that I was trying to skip out on you or anything!  LOL.

Hope that you (and everyone!) is doing Ok, and that you DON'T get this crappy cold thing that is going around down here!  it SUCKS!!!

Love and

Hi Jose!

No problemo!

Sorry to hear about that cold. I hope it is on the way out, and you get to feelin better soon.

Dont worry about replacing the songs, you can put any songs you like. I like all country music from the oldies right on up to today.  ;)

There is no rush at all so dont let it stress ya. I have been buying matchbox and hot wheels at yard sales, so I have been trying to catalog all of them so I know what I have, and how much I should be selling them for. Plus playin around with the new forum style, it looks pretty neat!

Hope you get to feelin better soon!!
