This is the Stratosphere....

Postby Joselita on Sat Mar 01, 2008 8:37 pm

[font=verdana]Those are two fairly new rides that they put on top of the Stratosphere (the tallest builiding west of the Mississippi).  They used to have a roller coaster up there, called The High Roller, but they took it off to put these two rides up there.  They still have The Big Shot, which is a thing that shoots you up the needle part, and you bounce....

Thing about the rides on the Stratosphere; they are NOT for anyone that is even mildy afreaid of heights.  I am VERY afraid of heights, and had troubles just being up the the saucer part of the building (where the rides are located...on the top of).  ALso, it is very windy most of the time i vegas...and if it gets too windy, they will shut down the rides on the Stratosphere.  This is because they start not working right...

On that one that hanges you out, and then spins you around?  They have had folks get stuck up there.  THe worst was a couple of sisters...just kids...that were stuc something like 3 or 4 hours, hanging way up there.  Not cool!  Or..not for someone like me, anyway!  LOL

I will say, the elevator that the Stratosphere has is Super Cool.  It is one of the fastest in the world.  I can't remember HOW fast they tell you it goes, but man!  I believe it!  That was the only part that I liked about the Stratosphere!  ROFL

I will try to find some info about Sky Walk.  Have you all heard about that?  It is this big plexiglass thing, that hangs out over the Grand Canyon....I forget how many insane feet up....that is totally clear!  So, you can see the bottom of the canyon way down there below your feet...and any birds that fly between you and it, too!  YIKES!! ROFL.

You are braver than me, allen, if you want to go to Vegas to get on either of those rides!  ROFL.  But then, Jay;s little girl friend has ridden them ALL up there, TWICE!!!!
