Welcome everyone!
Thanks for stopping by and checking out the Cubi O Club online interactive forum and message boards - a place for everyone who has ever experienced the magic that was the Cubi O' Club.
Here on the message boards, users will be able to post messages, pictures or videos in any of the forums. I tried to split the forums in categories to help better organize where posts would go, but we can always add more categories (reunions, birthdays, recipes, personal webpages, networking) later if you would like.
The site is intended to be very interactive and I hope everyone joins in the discussions. You will need to register as a member (it's free and it takes two seconds) to be able to post. Once you register, you can chose any user name you would like. Your email, location and all that is COMPLETELY confidential unless you edit your profile to allow it to be seen by all. You will also be able to add information to your profile if you would like, where in the world you are, Instant Messenger user names, photo's, personal web pages, etc.
Under the main forum category of Cubi O Club, there is a subcategory called The Cubi O' Club Family. I have been thinking of making that particular forum private and by invite only possibly authorized by Marissa so that no one outside of the Cubi O family can read very personal stuff.....
If you have any suggestions of ideas, I would love to hear from you! Please drop a note at info@cubioclub.org
Also, after speaking with Marissa tonight we brainstormed a bit and I decided to start including sub-branches of other happenings connected to the Cubi O, to Cubi itself or Subic including yes, the Subic Club. I figure that anyone that was there might eventually find their way here anyhow so why not be able to allow all affiliated groups to post as well. Maybe we'll find old friends!
Love, Peace & Light to all!
P.S. I lovingly dedicate this site to my father, Edward Dougil, who had a birthday today and also ran the World Famous Cubi O' Club from 1981-1986 - which, without a doubt, were some of the best years of the clubs life! And if you don't believe it, check the Navy Record books! =) |
