I have seen allot of you guys out there with garmins. I have been tossing around the idea of getting one to use on trail races. It would be nice to know I'm lost before I lose too many miles What input can you give me on how they work under tree cover or well out of town? Do they have a battery that will cover a 24 hour race? If not how hard is it to use a replacement battery without losing your current data. I'm going back and forth on the wrist model versus the "rhino" model _________________ many miles before I sleep
Bill, here is my 2 cents on the Garmin Forerunner 305. During my trail run Forest Park it work terrific, never lost signal one time and you couldnt even see the sky. I am not sure about the battery life. If you are going to get one I think the cheapest place I found was http://www.heartratemonitorsusa.com Good Luck.
cool man thats the kind of thing I was wanting to know.
I'm really wanting to make sure I get what will work good for me.
Thanks
