Last night at the meeting I said that I would post the website that you can go to to vote for Longview. This is a $25,000 grant that the Parks and Recreation Department has applied for through the Kaboom! organization. Part of the application process required a video to be made showing the need for the grant. Parks and Rec, the city council, and many families participated in the making of the video--and it is really fantastic--I encourage everyone to view it. 30 % of obtaining this grant is based on online votes. Just go to www.mylongview.com and click on Vote for Longview! and it will tell all about the grant and how to register. They do not send yo any junk mail and if you have trouble voting--please try again  |
