Well gang it looks like we have all our ducks in a row and "The Running of the Fools 08 " is ready to run. I hope this is going to be as fun for all our runners as we are planning. We have had a much bigger response then I could have hoped for in our inaugurial run with people from all over.The largest percentage of entrants is actualy from people traveling to get here. From what I am hearing we will even have quite a few in costume. One thing that actualy came as a suprise to me is the extremely high percentage of female runners. I personally think this is a good thing but Keli thinks that the guys should step it up. I think her words were something to the effect of "Don't be scared, I run like a girl but just try to keep up"
I want to thank all our volunteers in advance. I really appreciate all of you and there is no way we could do this without you. If I have one wish it is that we can do this thing in a way that measures up to all the people that will be out there to help. If youre running this race please take the moment to say thank you to these non paid hero's out there to make youre day a little more fun and safe.

Bill,
You should not be surprised at the number of female to male runners. In most of the races I run, females out-number males 2:1. |

Well guys, there was a nice big paragraph in this month's NW Runner magazine about our race and our club! Cross your fingers we can pull this thing off! Picked up the shirts today!! LOVE THEM!!! They turned out great! (I think!) |

Looks like the forcast for tomarrows run is rain / snow mixed winds at 12 mph...only a fool would run in these conditions! |
