Hi,
I'm new to this board, but was interested in how many of the Cowlitz Valley runners do long runs between 14-22 miles on the weekends, preferably Sundays.
Looking to find a person or two who would be interested in running longer runs at about a 9 mile minute pace, with maybe one or two walk breaks for about 1 minute each throughout the run.
Preferably looking for those who like to go early in the a.m. hours, about 6 or 7 am..
If anyone is interested, please reply. |

Your pace is personally too fast for me however I would suggest you come to a Saturday run to meet some of the club members. There are several who run your pace and distance but don't post on the message board.
If you don't mind my asking, what are you training for? |

There are several people who train at longer distances mostly preparing for Marathons or longer runs...I agree with Keli, the saturday am runs are a good way to "break in" to the club and meet some of the people. We mostly do fun runs on Saturday of 10K or so length, but sometimes some keep running afterward for extra distance. We have people that run from around 7 min pace on up and a couple that train long distance for Ultra runs. Another way to meet some of the people is to attend our monthly club meetings on the first tuesday of every month at the Masthead resturant. |
