Do not know about last year. The fastest time around the lake for the Turkey Trot was 18:11 by Uli Steidl. Can not remember what year. |

Just wanted to say that the Turkey Trot run was a really nice event. I have never ran it before, and it was a fun challenge to run the lake with so many people. I was really pleased that so many people participate on a Thanksgiving morning. So thanks to CVR for putting on the event, Nice work! |

Thanks for giving CVR credit for running the event. However, Longview Parks & Rec sponsored the event. CVR participated in the event and we had brochures of upcoming events at the run.
The next "local" area run is the Heart & Sole Run February 28th at the Lions Memorial Building between 20th Ave & Washington Way on Kessler Blvd. It is a 5K & 10K benefits go to the "After School Teen Program" of Longview. It is also sponsored by the Parks & Rec, but CVR will help out.
The next CVR sponsored run is March 29th "Running of the Fool's" (close to April Fool's Day). It is a 10K only and starts at Willow Grove Park. Watch the web site for details. |

I am sorry I left off one event that is coming up soooooon...
The Year to Year Run. It is a 5k non-competitive fun run that benefits Youth & Family Link. It starts at 11:50pm December 31st. So 1/2 way thru the run is NEW YEAR'S. The run starts at youth & Family Link on Douglas St. next to "The Daily News". This is a really fun time with gifts afterwards. Please see the link to the run on the main web site. This run is sponsored by CVR! |
