I am trying to break in a hydration pack and it tastes like plastic.I can hardly drink it.Can anyone tell me how to fix this? I have to have it for a race coming up but this way it is useless |

Bill,
I have heard of a couple of things that work, but we have never actually tried it in ours. One is to put mint flavored denture cleaning tablets in warm water, let them completely fizz, and then rinse the bladder out well. The other is to wash it out with either baking soda or lemon juice and warm water and rinse well. Or, I suppose your last resort would be to fill it with beer instead of water. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't taste the plastic then  |

Too funny Sounds like good advise.... well mostly.
The beer thing .....well not so much I can just imagine what that would do to my stomache at about 20 miles
