Just wanted to let everyone know that it was another beautiful year for the Timberline Marathon.  I would like to thank Molly H. for inviting me to run it with her.  She did an awsome job.
I had a great run.  The most memorible part was being able to run parts of it with my son Ryan.  He ran from the 1st aid station to the 2nd.  Which was probably the hardest part having a huge 600 to 900 ft climb.  He also ran the last 3 miles with me.
I felt a lot better this year fiishing up in 6th palce overall in a time of 3:34.  My body is still in recovery mode and isn't very happy with me, letting me know every time I go down a set of stairs.

Happy running!

Dave

Thanks To Dave and Becky (and Ryan for puting up with us) for participating in this beautiful run w/me!  Dave and Ryan were a Godsend getting me over the finish line.  It was a pretty hairy run for me though, the last eight miles I was pooping and puking!  It took three days to walk straight, especially after the celebrating Becky and I did...

On a more positive note, I just finished the Baker Lake 50k and am VERY HAPPY to report that it went off without a hitch!  The volunteers rocked, the aid station had the best spread I've even seen and the shirts were cool.  The scenery from the trail was amazing, it was probably the prettiest run I've done.  The terrain was like Timberline (undulating) but for some reason my body kicked A$* this time.  Thanks to the Davenports for all of the advice, it really helped out there!  I'm ready to go another round....
